* If not contacted by zero feedback bidders first to verify their interest then I will cancel the bid* Listed is a 1978 trans am, original black on black car which underwent a ground up restoration about 4-5 years prior at which time the car was diassembled and the floors, inner doors, and trunk were sprayed with POR 15 rust preventative. All metal panels at that time were noted to be original to the car and the car inspected for any previous collision damage, (none was found). The frame was then painted and the car reassembled with a fresh 30 over pontiac 455 motor which features an eldelbrock 750 carb, edelbrock aluminum intake, 6x heads, mild hydraulic cam, ceramic coated long tube headers ( with 3" aluminized dual exhaust with turndowns behind the rear wheels), high volume oil pump, 18 3/4 flex fan, aluminum radiator, TH350 with 2800-3000 stall converter, and 10 bolt posi rearend. Other features include detroit speed upper and lower control arms with QA1 (adjustable ride height) coil over shocks in front, along with burt reynolds edition preformed fiberglass molded ground effects in both the front and rear, prior to the new interior being installed dynamat sound deadening barrier was installed on the floors, new carpet, seat covers, package tray, console shift plate and the burt reynolds edition preformed plastic molded 1 piece door panels with preformed speaker holes. Dash is original and in great shape except for small crack as illustrated in one of the photos. I also have the detroit speed mini tub kit ( not installed) that comes with the car, although will varify that i still have all the pieces. Car also has had all new rubber molding and window felts and wheels and tires ( rear-17x9/front 17x8) are in great condition with lots of tread. Car has less then 3000 miles on it since its restoration. Paint is still a 8 out of 10. Car runs, drives and looks amazing! Car was last inspected and tagged in late 2011 and has been garage kept and sitting since then due to other interests. The items the car needs to be complete in my opinion include or which can be improved on include; needs headliner, needs front bumper emblem, needs seat belts, A/C, comes with a CD player but is not installed and does not have speakers, some of the gauges not working anymore(clock, gas-needs a sending unit), windows are very very slow up and down, drivers side door panel needs the remote mirror hole drilled and the control lever mounted and I believe that is it but feel free to call me at 9724891038 any evening before 9 and I will be glad to look it over and take any other pics and answer any other questions you may have. The video also shows the window speed, and I was incorrect about them being slow. According to a trans am expert I recently spoke to, this is the normal operating speed for this car.
