Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a rough 1974 AMC Gremlin X project or parts car. It was originally a 258 six cylinder model with 3 speed manual transmission. The previous owner kept the motor/bellhousing for a Jeep project. The transmission, driveshaft, and clutch linkage are still with the car. It was being driven up until 2008 when it was parked under some pecan trees. I haven't washed the car, so it is basically just how I found it. The original radiator and fan shroud are still with the car as well. It has the factory locking Gremlin gas cap, but at this point it will not be included with the car. If that changes, I will edit the auction. All accessories and brackets were removed attached to the engine so the power steering pump and the A/C compressor are both missing. The manual disc brakes are still there, but not working at all. It has rust/bondo in both rear quarters, especially the right quarter panel as shown in the photos. It has all four of the original rally wheels, but all center caps and one trim ring are missing. There are some rust holes in the top of the rockers below the sill plates, but the floors appear to be very solid. There are some rust holes below the rear window and the right quarter window, and one hole in the roof above the windshield. The cowl and inner fenders are solid except for some rust damage below the battery tray. It has a nice brown factory sport steering wheel. The grille surround has cracks on the top outer corners, but I couldn't find any cracks on the grille itself. The hood has some rust on the underneath layer behind the front lip, but not holes on the hood lip itself. There is a dent on the top right of the hood (last photo), but there is no bracing directly under it so it should be easy to repair. The chrome on both bumpers is in poor condition, but they are very solid. I have a clear Georgia Title for the car in my name. Based on some paperwork I found in the glove box the car has just over 187,000 miles on it. The dash is missing the cover for the instruments, the radio, and part of the dash is broken as shown in the photos. The Gremlin is located in Statenville, GA and is sold as is/where is with no warranties of any type. Buyer will need to pick up car with a trailer or rollback because the tires are not suitable for towing. I may be able to deliver the car within 300 miles of Statenville, GA 31648 for $2.20/loaded mile as determined by Mapquest. If you would like an exact delivery cost, please email an exact, complete delivery address and I get a cost for you. Payment to be received within 5 days of auction's end. A deposit of $300 is required through Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. I accept checks/money orders, but both require 2 weeks to clear my bank before car or title will be released. I would be willing to store the car for up to 30 days after auction ends for buyer to make arrangements to pick it up. I accept cash only if paid for at time of pickup (within 7 days of auction end). If you have any questions or would like specific areas photographed just shoot me an email. Thanks For Looking and For Bidding!!!
