okay. here is a super cool omni, if that is possible. lol. I bought this car in Virginia in 2007. when i first got it i drove it only a few miles as there was a timing issue causing it to backfire some. it was super fast for sure. it had a slight front end shimmy and it needed aligned. i replaced the gas tank and then the car sat. I hauled it to Ohio with me four years ago. i towed it to 4 mechanics who promised me they would look at it. they never did. finally, i found smiley. smiley is a great guy and figured out that there was an electrical issue which he fixed. so, the car was fixed but now, a small plastic piece that connects the shifter to the tranny is gone. i have since researched the issue and have found out this is a common problem with omnis. there is a kit available online for 100 bucks. i am planning on restoring this car when our house sells in may. all it really needs is a little love, that kit, and an alignment. this is a great specimen of a glh omni. if you have never seen one racing check it out on youtube. they smoke everything they race. i am only selling because we bought another house and we close on the 20th. i am sick about selling it because it needs so little to be cherry. It is basically rust free and very solid. there is one dent on the rear lid. the ugly bumper has been shaved in the back. the exhaust is 2". there are extra gauges. the guy i bought it from did a lot of upgrades. the inside floor has been coated with an epoxy to tighten it all up. the battery box has been moved to the passenger side front corner for weight distribution. you will need to rewire or replace the fan for the motor. also, the wires have not been routed to the new battery box location but a battery will still sit in the original location. the car needs a grill and painted. a small investment will get this car near perfect. the tires are like new treadwise but have been on it for 7 years. they are really not too bad but i would replace before driving for too long. i dont know. it runs pretty good now. so, your loss is my gain.
