THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. THIS CROWN VICTORIA HAS A COOLANT LEAK. IT IS IN THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING, UNDERNEATH THE ACTUAL THERMOSTAT. LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY AS I HAVE TRIED TO SHOW THE LEAK. YOU CAN SEE THE CRACK AND THE NEXT PICTURE SHOWS STEAM COMING OUT OF THE CRACK. THE STEAM CAME AFTER I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I DON'T THINK THAT IT HAS BEEN OVERHEATED. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on one previously owned 2001 Ford Crown Victoria. This Crown Vic. was owned and turned in to us by the Kentucky State Police. This is now considered Kentucky State Government Surplus Property. They have asked us to sell it for them on EBAY. VIN: 2FAFP71W31X153496 GENERAL: This Vehicle is Green in color. It is a 4-door Detective’s package. It does have the Police Interceptor motor in it. It is the 4.6 Liter V8 Gasoline engine. It has 186,104 miles on the odometer. The tires are Good Year and their size is P225/60R16. The hub cap / wheel cover on the driver side rear wheel is missing. The two hub caps on the passenger side each have 2 nylon zip-ties on the wheel cover. Why? We do not know. The passenger side front seat has a mounting bolt broken off on the front outside of the bracket and the seat is now not mounted solidly to the floor and it rocks back and forth. There is a tire jack in the trunk but there is NO SPARE TIRE. When looking over this Crown Vic., there appears to have been a Gold pin stripe, a double pin stripe that ran the entire length of the car on each side. It has been removed, well mostly removed. There is residue from the adhesive and a spot or two that you can still see that the stripe was Gold. The heater and the Air Conditioner work just fine. DRIVER’S SIDE: Every panel on this side of the vehicle has several scratches and several chips in the paint and some scuff marks too. Front Fender: It has scratches and chips in the paint. Driver’s Door: The door molding has about a 15” section of it that has come loose from the rear of the door forward. Rear Door: It has a dent just below the window and above and forward of the door handle. Rear Quarter Panel: The fuel door must be ‘sprung’ just a little as it does not sit flush with the rest of the body. REAR END: Bumper: It appears to be in pretty good shape with the exception that they have taken the narrow chrome ‘beauty’ trim off of it. Trunk Lid: There are 5 holes in the lid. The KSP used to have their two-way radio and other antenna mounted there. 3 holes are plugged with rubber grommets and 2 are not. One of those two open holes has paint gone all around that hole and some surface rust has set up on the exposed metal. PASSENGER’S SIDE: Rear Quarter Panel: This panel looks to be in pretty good condition. It only has a few very minor scratches. Rear Door: It has several scratches, both short and long and several chips in the paint. Front Door: It has several scratches, both short and long and several chips in the paint. Front Fender: It has several scratches, both short and long and several chips in the paint. FRONT END: Bumper: It has a lot of scratches especially near the center. The narrow chrome ‘beauty’ trim has been removed. Grille: It has a flat Black plastic ‘mesh’ grille in it. The light on the driver side closest to the grille has the bottom corner broken off of it. Hood: There are several light scratches. There are also several chips in the paint. ROOF: The roof has several scratches and several chips in the paint. WHEELS: All four wheels are factory steel wheels and three of them have wheel covers or hub caps on them. One is missing or gone. INTERIOR: It is Gray with a Black vinyl floor mat. All of the seats are Gray cloth with the front seats being bucket seats. There is NO console. It doesn’t appear to have had one there at all. The outside edge of the drivers seat sees to have lost a little of its original support on that edge. A couple of the seams in this bucket seat are beginning to come apart. They are not bad; I just had to mention it though. This seat has “power” Lumbar support button on the side of the seat. The passenger front seat has a bolt broken off on one of the mounts. The rear seat is a bench seat and it appears to be in pretty good condition. The carpet has several stains in it throughout the interior. There are NO floor mats with this vehicle. When the steering wheel is in the ‘straight’ position, you may notice that the covering on it has a tear in it right on the top. There is the “Police” style extra large interior light mounted in the ceiling and it works just fine but the lens is gone. On the rear deck (behind the back seat) the third brake light unit is loose on one side. The cigarette lighter is missing. FEATURES: Tilt Steering Wheel, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power external Mirrors, Rear Window Defrost and AM/FM Stereo. Also it has remote trunk release button in the dash and on the driver door there is a button that releases the fuel fill door. The Police Spot light is intact and works very well. Again, there is a tire jack, but there is NOT A SPARE TIRE. I had this vehicle running while these pictures were taken. Please note that it is entirely possible that we missed something or failed to see it or failed to mention something about this vehicle.
