Here we have for sale another Chevy Equinox LT that has been FULLY REPAIRED. This equinox came to us from a Florida Insurance Auto Auction that had prior front end damage. No air bags were deployed, no damage was done to any of the steering, suspension, or drivetrain. The only parts that were replaced was a hood, right front fender, and front bumper cover. The front bumper cover came as a take off cover from another white equinox. therefore the only parts that was painted was the hood and right front fender. all paint work was done by out local chevy dealership and thus the paint looks perfect and matches well. no one can tell that these parts were painted. the hood and fender were bought brand new and we have the reciept to prove the repairs and parts (which we will provide to the high bidder). a couple minor parts were also replaced (one headlight, a couple brackets and minor plastic parts. This Equinox looks ever bit brand new and drives perfect. I have driven this vehicle about 1,000 miles and last weekend i took it up to the north shore with out any problems. There is nothing this equinox needs and you won't have any problems with this vehicle for a very long time. We let these cars sell them self. If for any reason you feel its to much of a risk to bid on this car with out seeing it in person first, then you are more then welcome to contact any shop near me (at your cost) and i will be more then happy to take this car to any shop of your choice for a 3rd party inspection. There is nothing wrong with buying a salvage title car, however you will always get the car for less money then a clean title car. Usually you can buy that car for about 70-75% of clean title value, however that number can go up or down depending on supply and demand and the condition of the vehicle itself. Clearly a car like this might be a bit more on the high side, and yet a dirty old dodge neon with a salvage title might be a bit more on the low side. Either way, the biggest thing you should know about any salvage title car is the history and how bad the accident was. I am one of the very few sellers of salvage title cars that will show you the prior damage pictures. We bought this car at an insurance auction and thus i don't know anything about the prior owner other then they are from Florida. Non-Smoker! Current mileage is 7,165 but the mileage will change because i have been driving this car, its too nice not to drive. however i won't let the miles go over 7,500 before this auction ends. Current Title, The current title is a Florida salvage title. Please check with your state before bidding. Once you get this car inspected, it should come back as a prior salvage title/rebuilt in your home state. I can get it inspected here in Minnesota, but that might not do you any good if you live out of state. If I do get it inspected here, and send the title into Minnesota, then its going to take about 3 months for the state of Minnesota to send me the prior salvage title back. I know for a fact that this car will pass a Minnesota state inspection with flying colors or your money back. Other state's might require something different, so please check before you bid. All sales are final. We will provide you with a bill of sale, title, repair receipts, ect. You shouldn't need anything more then what I listed above, but if there is, let us know and we will do our best to get you anything you need to get this vehicle inspected in your home state. Att: Minnesota buyers, You will be charged sales tax at a rate of 6.5%, plus plates, tabs, and title transfer fees. You will also need to get this vehicle inspected with in the next year and we will provide you will all the receipts and Minnesota Affidavit of Reconstruction paperwork that you will need to get it inspected. You will be provided with a 21 day permit to drive this vehicle right away, and then we will get the plates for you and they will be mailed to you or you can pick this up if you are local. You have one year to get this vehicle inspected before Minnesota will issue you new license tabs. The inspection process is easy and only takes about 20mins. We will provide you with the dates and times of your nearest inspection center. After is has been inspected, you will get a new title back from the State of Minnesota that will give it a Prior Salvage Title Status. According to the State, that means that it is a clear title. According to everyone else, its still a salvage title. Att: Non-Minnesota buyers, You will NOT be charged any added fees. You will owe the exact amount of your final bid and thats all. You will be given the receipts for the repairs in the event you need them. You will also need to check with your local DMV to check the process of transferring a salvage title in your home state before you bid. You will be given a 21day permit to drive this vehicle home, but after that, you are on your own. You should be able to take the title to your dmv and get it transferred and get plates right away, but some states might have a different process that you need to go though, so please check that out before you bid. Depending on where you are, it could take anywhere from 2 to 8 business days before you receive this vehicle. Deposit, After this auction ends, we will need a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit with in 48hrs of the end of this auction. If you come here and decide that you don't want to buy the vehicle for whatever reason, we will refund $250 of that deposit and keep $250. However if you never show up, then we will keep all the $500. Deposit can be Cash in person only, Pay Pal, Certified Bank Check, or a Bank Wire Transfer. Warranty, Most auto manufacturers don't stand by the factory warranty with a car has a salvage title, however some still do. So its up to you to contact your local dealership to see if the factory warranty is still active. If you do want to check on the warranty status, all you need to do is call your local GM dealer and give them the vin number to this car and ask them if the warranty is still good. ALL auto manufacturers still do stand by recalls. So if this car is in need of a recall, take it back to the dealership and they will fix the recalled item. On the other hand, if you have any prior accident repair issues with this car with in the first 90 days let us know and we will usually take care of the problem at no charge as long as you bring the car back to us. Are All Salvage Titles Bad? No, They aren't. Thats just like saying all Clean Title cars are good. There are alot of salvage titles cars out there that have little to no damage due to theft recovery, or since insurance companies won't use aftermarket parts and need to use brand new factory parts. If those factory parts are on back order, they aren't going to wait weeks or months until they can get those parts again. So something as simple as damage to a 01-06 GMC Yukon Denali front impact bumper that costs $300 new, that totaled out about 100 trucks last year because of the GM bankruptcy that shut down the manufacturing of those bumpers. Thus no one could get that part so insurance companies just totaled them all out rather then to wait the 6 months to get a new bumper. Are All Clean Titles Cars Accident Free? No, Most of you have probly been in an accident at one point or another. If your accident was a deer hit, most of the time that is repairable. Your local body shop made the repairs and you were good to go. However no one will ever know and it wasn't marked on your title. It still may have been a great car after that, but just like salvage title cars, they can be great and hassle free for years after the repairs have been made. In another example, if you had a newer car, and you didn't have full coverage insurance and you drove your car into a local lake, ditch, hit a tree, another car, ect. You would have some damage that you might not have taken to a body shop and had the repairs done correctly. Thus passing on future possible issues to a new owner. The truth is, that you don't know what or where a car has been unless you bought it brand new. And as you know, buying brand new will cost you a lot more then buying used. So even if the worst case happens and you buy a salvage title car that you know has been in an accident, you know what you are buying and you are paying less for that. So even if something happens to the motor, transmission, battery, tires, ect. You saved thousands by buying a salvage title over buying a used car with a clear title and that savings will likely cover the cost of the repairs.
