Hello, let me start by saying that I realize how stressful it can be to buy anything sight un-seen. I don't think a paragraph & 1 or 2 pictures is enough to accurately describe an item of any kind, let alone a motor vehicle. I understand that you may be in a different state or even a different Country & therefore are unable to come view this Dodge in person. I want you to know everything I know about anything I offer for sale. For that reason, my postings tend to be a little on the long side. I also post 24 super sized pictures. Please take the time to read the item description & view the pictures. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. All will be answered promptly. I have sold diesel trucks to buyers all over the world. All members who have bought diesels from me have been extremely pleased with my performance & the items they have purchased from me, I'm sure you will be as well. DESCRIPTION- This is NOT your average utility truck! This is a 1-owner, 5.9 liter Cummins Diesel Dodge that has obviously been care for it's entire life. The truck was purchased new by Atlanta Gas-Light & used as a commercial field supervisor's vehicle. This truck was never really worked from. This Dodge did little more than transport the supervisor from one new commercial install inspection to the next. So, you can bet that most of the miles on this RAM2500 came from cruising the freeway. That would explain why this truck is so AMAZINGLY clean & tight! After driving this Dodge, it is VERY obvious that it has been serviced regularly & properly. It is also VERY obvious that this truck has never done a hard days work! This truck is NOTHING like what you would expect to find from a company / work vehicle! This Dodge is NICE NICE NICE! Everything works just as it should. The truck drives very much like a new vehicle. The body is as straight as an arrow. The interior is very nearly perfect. AND SUPER CLEAN. The utility body is as nice as you will ever find without buying a brand new bed. MSRP on this RAM2500 was nearly $40,000.00... & that was with no bed! The Knapheide service / utility body is top of the line! Retail on this bed alone was right at $10,000.00. There are very few Dodge Diesel service body trucks running around. This is because most companies opted for the much cheaper Ford F-Series when buying a work truck. A Ford is fine but in my opinion... the Cummins powered Dodge is far superior. Ever heard the old saying... You Get What You Pay For? That adage rings true here. This is a super rare vehicle which cost $50,000.00 +/- to build! Now it is being offered to you at NO RESERVE.... High bid wins! I know that you are going to see that this truck has 178,221 miles showing & automatically think it is worn out. Please don't make that mistake! I have personally owned several of these Cummins powered trucks that had over 500,000 miles & still going strong! This particular truck looks, runs & drives like a truck with 8,000 miles! You'd never guess it had 178,000! It's very nearly perfect! This one is just getting started! BODY & PAINT- This truck is beautiful! All of the body panels are string straight. I can find only 2 tiny door dings on the whole truck! The fenders are perfect. The hood is perfect. The doors are perfect. The roof is perfect. There is not one single hail ding. All of the door hinges & latches are as tight as new. There is no door sag or drop at all. Everything is as nice as it can be.This is a truck that was built to work, so you would expect to see a dent, or scrape, or something... but there is nothing! I have the AutoCheck & CarFax which will show you that this 1-owner, life long GA vehicle, has NEVER been in an accident or had any other problems. The factory Frost White paint is beautiful. This truck makes an impression! There are no noticeable scratches on the truck itself. I did nothing more than hand wash this vehicle & just look how it shines. It is completely dry in the pictures yet you can see my refelection & the reflection of nearby buildings & trees in most of the photos. Just imagine how it would shine with a professional detail & wax! There is no oxidation on any of the trim, or the weather stripping, or the light lenses, etc... The service body is as tight as the rest of the truck. All of the hinges, latches, handles & locks work just as they should. All the doors seal well so you know your expensive tools a protected from both thieves & the elements. All locks are keyed the same & I have the keys. There is a nice, thick, grated rubber cargo mat in the bed. There is a very useful, very large, rear step bumper / work surface. This truck has NEVER been fitted with a trailer hitch of any kind! So you know it has NEVER pulled a heavy load! Yet an under bumper receiver hitch could be installed in a matter of minutes. The bed sides are short enough that a gooseneck ball or even a 5th-wheel hitch could be installed in the bed with ease. Though it has never pulled a trailer... it could be set up to haul any type of trailer you can imagine with very little effort or expense. This 3/4 ton pick-up is a true 1-owner, life long, Central Georgia vehicle so there is absolutely NO RUST or corrosion on anything.... anywhere! The truck has never been used off road so the underside is as clean as the outer body! INTERIOR & OPTIONS- Since this truck was built to work, there are few power options. It is equipped with manual windows & locks. Rubber floor covering. Vinyl seat covers. Nothing too fancy but everything is VERY clean & shows little to no wear! However, the truck does have tilt steering. It is also equipped with a 3-way split bench seat which can seat 3 adults comfortably. There is even a shoulder harness seat belt for the center passenger. The center seat can also be folded down to a center console. The driver & passenger seats are both fully adjustable & independent of each other. Much better than the standard bench seats you find in most work trucks! There is also a HUGE amount of storage space behind the seats. There is a tray that is nearly 12 inches wide & very deep. Lots of room! There are NO rips or tears in these seats. No worn spots or rips in the floor covering. No cracked plastic trim. There are no odors or unpleasant smells. The door panels are all perfect. The headliner is perfect. The dash is perfect. It is easy to tell that this truck has been cared for & never worked hard. There are NO cracks or stars in the windsheild or any of the other glasses or mirrors. DRIVETRAIN- The drivetrain is the heart of any vehicle & must be maintained in order to ensure a long, useful life. I know this diesel has been properly maintained from end to end. I have owned several vehicles that came from Atlanta Gas-Light, all of which were in impeccable mechanical condition. My Father once worked in their maintenance department & tells me that their fleet service schedule is very thorough & strictly adhered to. NOTHING is overlooked or put off. When you buy a vehicle that was privately owned & operated, you can be sure that things were overlooked, services were skipped, oil changes were not done on time. With this truck, you can rest assured that EVERYTHING was done & done on time, everytime! You can sure tell it when driving this Dodge! If you didn't know the year & mileage.... you would think you were driving a new truck when you are in this 2004 RAM. The 5.9 liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine runs just like new. It cranks up instantly, even on the coldest of mornings. No need for a plug in. As soon as it starts the oil pressure goes up & stays up all day. There is no blow-by from the oil cap or dipstick tube. There is no skipping or stumbling. No overheating. No abnormal noises or smoke. No fluid leaks. Nothing but clean, smooth, quiet, power. When I say quiet... I mean it! This diesel is quieter than a gasoline powered truck. Cruising down the freeway, you hear no engine noise, no tire noise, no wind noise... It's almost like riding in my Lexus! Plus, these engines get AMAZING fuel economy! This truck will average 20+ MPG in mixed driving! The Ram Heavy Duty automatic overdrive transmission shift flawlessly! Just like new. No slips. No lag between gears. No problems whatsoever. All of the steering & suspension components are nice & tight. There is no slop or play in anything. This truck drives as straight as an arrow. It does not wander, dip, dart, shake, nothing. The four wheel, anti-lock disk brakes perform just like new. No pulsation. No grabbing or pulling. Again, driving this Dodge is very much like driving a new truck. There are no rattles. There is no wind noise around the windows or doors. Just a very smooth & comfortable ride. TITLE- I have the original, 1-owner, clean, clear, fully transferable title on this Dodge. I own a small street rod shop & in order to purchase this truck on the spot, I had to buy it in my business name. This means that the sale is just like that on one of my streetrods & will be made through my dealership. If you are an out of state resident , this will not effect you at all. I had planned to keep it forever but as luck would have it, I have ran across an unbelievable deal on a late model rollback wrecker. I need the rollback for my business but can't afford both so I must let this beautiful truck go. This is one of those vehicles that doesn't come along very often. It is hard enough to find a single cab diesel Dodge... but to find one equipped for work is nearly impossible!
