Vehicle Detail

O.K. up for bid is a 1965 VW convertible; this is a project car that runs but has no brakes so you can’t drive. I lost interest in the project so it needs to go.. The driver side floor pan has been replaced, the fenders are new, and the factory conv. Deck lid is in excellent shape. The body has been patched long ago and the work is less than professional, the patch panels are brazed in and have plastic filler on them. There is a hole in front of the passenger rear wheel, as seen in photos. My intent was to restore this car however, when I tried to remove the body from the pan, I discovered the body has been brazed to the pan, and I lost interest in the restoration. This would make a good driver or a fun Rat rod, or if you are really ambitious a nice project. It has 2 ½ drop spindles, disc brakes in the front (calipers not included). The headlights and tail lights are installed just not wired; main harness is there just need the point to point. As for the good things about the car, it has a 1776 zero mile turnkey, All the goodies, 44 Weber’s, Scat crank, set up for 12 Volt, the motor sounds real healthy. It has a new freeway flier tranny, new clutch, flywheel and pressure plate, new exhaust, new VDO gauges, new wheels and tires, new fenders, running boards. The top is complete with the glass rear window, the interior is decent no tears, all the windows are operational (have some replacement seals), and all the parts to finish this car to your standards are available online. let me know if you want more pictures or have any questions. The car has a clean title, and I may be able to provide some additional parts. this car is for sale locally, so i reserve the right to end the auction early. On Mar-08-13 at 11:03:57 PST, seller added the following information: just found motor reciept it is a 1914 not a 1776.
