NO RESERVE AUCTIONALL-WHEEL-DRIVE TSI TurboUnder 24,000 original milesBeautiful, untouched examplePLEASE NOTE: The Eagle Talon and Mitsubishi Eclipse were a joint-venture between Chrysler Motor Division (aka: Eagle) and their Japanese counterpart, Mitsubishi. They are virtually the exact same car with only minor cosmetic differences. As a collector that appreciates fine, original and low mileage cars, this Talon certainly deserves to be a proud member of my collection. At just under 24,000 actual miles, the car presents extremely well. Very near showroom condition. Blemishes are almost non-existent and the cars condition more than supports the mileage reading. Garaged since new and literally has never spent the night outside. There is only a light coating of residue on the undercarriage from the very limited use the car has had and minimal exposure to rain. The car has always lived here in Oregon therefore, she has never seen a salted road or chemical de-icer. Always kept in-doors during nasty weather. I added the car to my collection shortly after the first owner passed away. I have enjoyed putting just over 100 miles on the car. She performs and handles beautifully. I actually owned one of these cars the first year they were produced in 1990. Definitely ahead of their time in power and performance. This car feels just like my new one did. The factory Maroon paint shines like a mirror and the original leather interior is as close to perfection as anyone will ever find. This is one of the finest 1st generation Talon's I've ever seen. More details provided below. I will make a few brief comments under some of the upcoming photos. All of my eBay experiences have been enjoyable over the years as I've sold members of my collection. I'm grateful for the kind words and compliments I've received. My opinions have guided me well and I stand behind them but please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions and observations and they may differ from your own. I welcome showing my Eagle in person to anyone with genuine interest. I live very near the Portland Oregon Airport and would gladly pick you up. Each photo shows the car clearly and accurately. It is my intention to make this as close to you seeing and touching the car for yourself as possible. Feel free to click on the "ask a question" link here in the auction and I will respond to all polite questions. Phone calls are great too. My telephone number is 503-887-1231 and calls between 8AM and 9PM Pacific time are just fine. My auction runs for 7 days and is scheduled to end on Tuesday evening, the 19th of March at 7:30PM Pacific. I reserve the right to end my auction early in the event I accept a genuine offer and the car becomes no longer available *Everyone, especially if you are outside of the U.S. or Canada or you have low eBay transactions, PLEASE SEE MY TERMS OF SALE provided below the last photo.* PLEASE, read my terms of sale located near the bottom of this screen. I'm a reasonable and kindhearted person but I will not bend on these basic terms unless previously discussed during the auction. A little communication goes a long way. NO RESERVE AUCTION I did not set a reserve price on my Talon. All that I ask in return is for your bids to be real and your intent to purchase be sincere. I personally took every picture you're about to see the day before this auction started. No photo has been altered or enhanced in any way. This is my car and these pictures are true to her in-person appearance. Thanks for your time, DAVE The exterior paint, trim, moldings, decals, etc, are in near new condition. The interior looks almost as if it just left the showroom floor. The leather is still glove-soft and supports a life spent entirely in the garage. A doctor could just about operate in here. The engine compartment certainly depicts a gentle life with very minimal mileage and use. These are the true and correct miles. As of the start of this auction, the odometer reading was 23,951. Heading into Downtown Portland the day these photos were taken. Normally, a car of this vintage would be peppered with tiny rock chips on the hood and bumper. NOT THIS CAR. It is gorgeous. There are minor superficial scratches on the very bottom side of the front air-dam. I considered having this blemish rectified but didn't want to compromise the cars originality with any repainting. Even the tail lights look and shine like new. These are the only license plates the car has ever had. The registration has been kept up to date even when the car sat untouched for extended periods. That's me in the reflection on the corner of the bumper. Hello. The paint on this car holds such a high gloss that clear reflections can be seen in just about every photo. All glass, including the windshield, is crystal clear. All lenses, headlights and fog lights appear as new. I just noticed a little wax around the edges of this factory decal. I washed and waxed the car the day before I took these pictures. I'll remove the excess wax the next time I go out to the garage. Pictures on your computer screen will have a difficult time showing how nice the car truly is. Even with my expensive digital camera, it's hard to capture the real shine the paint has. It is outstanding. During my explorations of the car I have discovered no previously repaired or repainted areas which matches what the wife of the original owner shared with me. The factory applied finish shines impressively. The tires are like new and the second set the car has ever had. This was the last picture I took when I got home. The interior is very near perfection. If you look closely at the far left side of the dashboard, you'll see that the dash has pulled slightly from the plastic trim. It is the ONLY thing that even comes close to being considered a flaw. The interior still smells and looks like new. And yes, I do have the floor mats. The steering wheel looks as if hands never touched it. The rear seat was NEVER used. Both door panels are MINT. The headliner is also MINT. Please notice that the seat belt plugs in above the door and retracts into position automatically. Absolutely everything works on the car. EVERYTHING! All power equipment, options and features work like new down the last switch and freezing cold A/C. Looks like it was installed yesterday. No sun-damage or wear of any kind. NEVER smoked in. Other than the battery, tires, oil changes and the air-filter, I believe all mechanical components are factory original. Again, the car has never been in a collision. The cargo area was used very little if at all. Appears like new. I felt compelled to represent the car in it's authentic, 24,000 original mile condition. It would be an extremely easy task to clean the undercarriage and make it look new. I'll leave that rewarding job to the next owner. Regardless, the undersides clearly document the limited use the car has had. Even the backsides of the bumpers are still clean. All matching VIN# stickers are on each and every body panel. The factory 16 inch aluminum wheels have NO tarnish. Whether you have appreciation for low mileage collectible cars or you owned one of these years ago, this car more than deserves attention. It is in remarkable condition in every way and drives like new. Like stepping back in time. She is a joy to drive and one of the most comfortable cars I've ever sat in. Thanks again- Terms of Sale: 21 year old vehicle being sold AS-IS: Please read and agree with the following: I have described my Eagle Talon TSI honestly and to the best of my ability based on almost 30 years of driving and collecting cars. I have 100% faith in the drivability of my car and to my knowledge everything is in excellent and tip-top working order per my written description above. I have the free and clear Oregon title in my possession. I would drive my Talon ANYWHERE but she is over 20 years old and routine service and repairs should be expected. If you are not comfortable with a sight-unseen purchase, please come see her for yourself or have an independent inspection performed PRIOR to bidding. I will not be responsible for the decisions of others. I would appreciate the winning bidder contacting me immediately upon end of auction just so the lines of communication are opened. My telephone number is 503-887-1231. -PAYMENT TERMS- A $1000.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction ending preferably through PayPal just so we are both protected. Wire transfers and verifiable cashier checks are also acceptable. I'm an easy going person so if you need to make special financial arrangements just let me know BEFORE you bid and I'll try to help. I have been with the same bank here in Portland for over 10 years and the Management staff knows me. You are welcome to contact them for your own security if you like. The remaining balance is due in-full within 7 calendar days of auction end in the form of secure funds. Some banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles of this vintage. Make sure if you are financing that your financial institution accepts the year and value of this vehicle before bidding and that my payment time-lines can be met. Please have your method of payment arranged prior to auction ending.TRANSPORT - SHIPPING I am happy to be an active and hands-on part of this process from start to finish but the buyer is ultimately responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle and any pre-purchase inspections need to be done BEFORE auction ending. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly assist in loading and be present for the transport condition form and other reasonable help. Locating a transporter is the buyers responsibility but I can make recommendations and share the relationships I've built. Vehicle transport has become very reasonable. I personally use a privately owned trucking company. They have handled the movements of my collection and all of my transport needs perfectly for the last 4 years with careful handling, excellent rates and fast service even all the way to the East Coast. I will provide contact info at your request. Dependable Auto Shippers (D.A.S.) is a transporter that eBay recommends and my experiences with them were just fine. My location zip code is 97214. Coast-to-Coast transport is around $1400.00 and even less the closer you are to Oregon. Shipping to Australia, Europe and other Countries has also become affordable and easy to arrange. I will stay involved throughout this entire process and help in any way possible. If you are outside of the United States or Canada, you MUST contact me BEFORE bidding. If you are an eBay member with negative history or have a (0) or low transaction score, I need to hear from you just to verify your sincerity and accept your bids as genuine. We all started from (0) and I'm happy to give a leg up. I reserve the right to cancel bids for these reasons. Communication is all I ask. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the vehicle is no longer available or otherwise SOLD.
