88 IROC Z-28 Convertible, i have owned this car for the last 19 years, its now sitting in my shop taking up space. It used to be a show car and I could still show it, this car needs to go to someone who will drive it, I do not, except may be 3 or 4 time a year. Just had transmission rebuilt 2 summers ago. this last summer i took it to the dealership to get the a/c serviced, oil change etc. brakes were squeaking every once in a while they said they were fine, but I had them put new ones on to stop the squeak, new alternator and battery, new tires, distributor system, wires etc. all brand new, they had corroded from sitting, all this work done at local Rhodes Chevrolet dealership in Van Buren Arkansas and I have driven the car maybe 200 miles since all this work last summer. Approx 1500 bucks. Clear carfax and all books, including Convertible supplement. Car is now 25 years old, has a few cosmetic issues, but nothing major, got keyed on passenger side door at the U of A years ago, will not buff out but I have not had it airbrused, easy fix I'm told, rag top has seen better days but is fully functional, couple of tears and a small hole that is sealed no leaks. Power windows are slow but work fine, cruise control stopped working but i dont use it so did not fix, every once in a while check engine light comes on but goes off after restarting no effect on driving at all, dealership says they cant find anything wrong with the car except for a little oil leaking from sitting and not being driven, it will smoke at start up after sitting a while, they said its normal and do not fix.Leather trimmed seats had a few panels replaced years ago for showing purposes, now a couple more cracks, easy cheap fix. Spider web cracks in front plastic spoiler and back bumper but not peeling or bad looking normal for front spoiler it could be repainted back bumper was bumped by and unfriendly idiot its not bad at all. Has approx 124,000 miles, 305 TPI 205 hp with 355 FT LB of Torque, I have gotten 29 MPG on the hwy in this car and it will run fast. yes 29 MPG! The guy I bought this from had it repainted by the Chevrolet dealership just before I got it, the clear coat was peeling and they had to oblige him, the paint in in excellent shape, aside from 3 or 4 rock chips here and there and the key mark, aftermarket cd player in it,I have also replaced any and all plastic trim pieces in this car that were chipped or didnt look perfect for show purposes, exhaust 3 years old, absolutely no rust always been an Arkansas car, i have had a lot of fun in this old girl but it needs to be driven, i have no time for this toy and would like to see it go to a great home.
