Vehicle Detail

This 1960 Plymouth Savoy was purchased new by my great aunt and uncle near St Louis, Mo. Upon her passing in 1976, the car was willed to my father and at the time the car had roughly 24,000 original miles. The car was sky blue with dark blue interior and had the 225 slant six engine with three on the tree transmission and drove well. In the mid-90's, my father had the car refurbished. A 440-4V from a late 60's mopar replaced the slant six and a 727 pushbutton automatic from '63 Dodge was installed. The car was stripped of chrome and a full strip/repaint was done in white and the brightwork re-chromed. The interior was re-done in red with new carpet, fabric, headliner, the works. All new glass was installed as well. Other items upgraded were the installation of A/C, power steering, and a Clarion AM/FM with remote CD changer in the trunk. Brakes and all sub-systems were either refurbished or replaced. The car was driven regularly until about a year ago. I recently went to drive the car and the battery was dead. Furthermore, the brake pedal went to the floor and looking under the car in the garage I noticed a pool of brake fluid under the firewall area of the car. This car is garaged (and has been garaged all these years) in a garage without power, so I have no real way of repairing the brakes myself. I also have no interest in putting money into this car to repair the brake lines and get her running. As I cannot get the car running, I cannot ascertain as to what equipment on the car works and what is inop. The last time I drove the car a year ago everything worked. This car is a totally straight, never wrecked, no rust three owner vehicle, and is a very nice example of the last of the forward look Mopars. Note: outdoor pictures are from several years ago, pictures in the garage were taken about three weeks ago. There is no warranty on this car and it is being sold as is where is. The buyer will have the responsibility of transporting the vehicle from the location of sale. This car is being sold at auction with no reserve. The highest bid at the close of auction WILL win this car. I will try to log on every night to answer questions. Thanks for looking.
