Vehicle Detail

Normal.dotm 0 0 1 263 1502 cavudesign 12 3 1844 12.0 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false I am offering a package of two 1959 Alfa Romeo Giuletta Spiders for sale. One is a true Veloce the other a Normale. I have had these cars in storage for nearly a decade and just do not have the time to do the restorations these classics deserve. This pair of Alfas could be the basis for a complete restoration that would result in valuable examples of this historically significant automobile. The dull red Alfa is the Veloce. It was originally dark grey. The yellow Alfa was originally light blue. The yellow body is quite solid with an unusually small amount of rust for an Alfa of this vintage. The trunk floor is solid except for minor perforation at the battery location. The rocker panels are solid. The red car has had the trunk floor cut out in preparation for replacement. Basically, the yellow car is more rust free than the red one. I had intended to restore the yellow car to be as close to original as possible. The Veloce is a good candidate to be restored as a vintage racer. Both bodies are pretty straight with only minor dings. The odometer reading on the yellow Alfa is 30,590, the red one reads 96,885. I have no way to verify the mileage but miles are a minor factor in a restoration project of this type. I will include reproductions of the factory service manuals for the cars. The cars are fairly complete but some parts are missing. There is no trunk lid for the yellow car. The folding top frames for both cars appear to be useable and both cars have seat frames. One windshields is broken; the door glass is intact on both cars. Most of the chrome trim is included but one of the vertical center grills is missing. Both engines are partially disassembled. There is an extra transmission, a five speed that a previous owner was intending to install. Both cars are rollers with engines and transmissions removed. Numerous parts are in boxes and I have not done a complete inventory. However, a quick check on hard to find components like the cast aluminum plenum for the Veloce’s Weber Carburetors got positive results. I have owned a number of Alfas and can answer most questions you may have. I am not interested in parting out the cars or selling them individually. I’ll respond to your questions as quickly as possible. Thanks for looking. Located near Salt Lake City. Shipping will be buyer's responsibility.
