Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a rare and hard to find low mileage "1976 Suzuki RE5 A Rotary Wankel" motorcycle. It has had little ride time on it with only 8,747 original low miles! Good title in hand (see picture). Make offer if you want to buy now. As you can see in the pictures the RE5 A model is in overall nice shape. Chrome is good with minor flaws. Nice aftermarket seat cover with no tears or holes. I believe original tires that still hold air, I would replace if you plan to ride it much. It has the adapter for the spark plug so you can use newer and cheaper plugs. ALL FLUIDS have been changed in the engine, oiler, and radiator was flushed with new antifreeze in it. The carburetor was overhauled to original specs at Rotary Recycle in Tennessee. Has a brand new master cylinder rebuild. The front calipers are off due to cleaning front end. I have both calipers and they are in good shape and ready to stick back on. I may be able to have time to get them mounted. Tank has a dent in the front left that may be popped out or used as is. Electronics: All the lights, turn signals, brake lights, dash lights, and horn all work well. See gauge cluster picture for lights working. Handlebars and grips, along with the switches are in nice shape. Look at pictures to see how nice and unused the switches are! Also look at the bike as you can see most of the warning and caution labels are still in their original place from the factory. The rear fender is in nice shape with minor to no blemishes and has the decal still on it. Shocks are good. Chain and sprocket are good. Front fender has small dent. Clutch lever is in good working order and shifts fine. Engine: was tested with good compression. The bike was running when last worked on last fall after the carb was rebuilt and new plugs. Haven't tried starting it since getting it. Selling as non running with good potential to get running. With a nice carb on it, clean inside of tank, and good spark plugs in it, I would say the winning bidder will have an easy project getting this bike up and running. The battery is holding a charge as it is around a year old, and crank the engine over with good compression. The exhaust is near perfect with minor blemishes. The air cooling vents are nice too. I just simply do not have time to work on all of my bikes, this one must go!! Overall you are buying a RARE and COLLECTABLE piece of Rotary Engine and Motorcycle History here. I tried to describe this 1976 RE5 Suzuki Rotary as best as possible, but understand that this is a 37+ year old motorcycle with minor flaws not described and hard to see. You are buying as is with no warranty or refunds. Comes as pictured, bill of sale to winning bidder, and a clear and open Oklahoma title that has been signed over from previous owner and the buyer's name is blank. You will need to give this bike minor TLC and attention before just hoping on it and riding as it is being sold as a non-running bike with great, great potential of easily restoring it to run. Time for it get out of my garage! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!! If you have any questions please email me as I can reply usually within 15 minutes during the daytime.
