1969 Lincoln Continental Mark IIIOffered for sale is this very rare 1969 Lincoln. The Continental Mark III 2 door hardtop Luxury Coupe was the top model for 1969. It is fairly hard to find one that is still in good to very good condition like this one. This is a two owner automobile (technically three as the original owner - an older gentleman, who purchased the car new at the Kumpf Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Denver in 1969 did donate it to a local museum from which I purchased it sometime later). The body is straight and the exterior is in pretty good condition, but the paint (one repaint) looks a little tired and does not show as well as it could or should. There are a few minor blemishes, scratches, etc. and a couple of small rust spots at/near the bottom of the car. A good detail/buffing should really help in getting it to look great. The bumpers, chrome, stainless trim, etc. are in very good to great condition. The windshield and glass are in great condition. The vinyl top was replaced by the previous owner (I guess her wanted to keep the car in the best condition possible). The car is nicely appointed with the original vinyl and cloth interior which is in very good if not great condition. The headliner, carpet and rubber mats are in very good condition. Again, a good detail job will go a long way to reviving this beautiful interior. The dash looks great except for one 2-3" crack on the right side of the steering wheel. The car has AC and power everything. It has the 460 engine and automatic transmission, a new fuel pump was installed about a year ago. The car starts, runs and drives very well and is a pleasure to drive. It is not perfect by any means as it is an older automobile, but it will make a very nice driver or cruiser with only a minimal amount of TLC. It has only 74,000 miles showing on the odomoter.
