MGB RED ROADSTER LOW MILES MG HISTORY A FINE EXPRESSION OF THE IDEAL SPORTS CAR STILL RETAINS ITS STATIS AS ONE OF THE LONGEST LIVEDONE OF THE MOST AFFORDABLE ON THE MARKET MG…………….ONE OF THE BEST-LOVED SPORTS CARS THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN FOR PURE ENJOYMENT THE MGB IS HARD TO BEAT AND IT IS A FINE VALUE TODAY. Few cars have enjoyed the popularity of the MG two-seater Roadster. MG, more than any other brand was responsible for introducing the joys and quirks of sports cars to the American enthusiasts in the early fifties. The two letters MG simply stand for “Morris Garages.” In the 30's, during a five year period, MG won 37 major international events. MG also created the first 757-CC car to reach 120 MPH and the first car of any kind to top 200 MPH. The name lives on and so do the many MG enthusiasts. Spring is here! It is “Cruisin’ time!” The MG offered here is a highly original motor car with only 54,000 miles. It has been owned by the same person for 25 years. For all of its 30 plus years, it shows very well – beautiful and highly original. It is sound, straight, handles exceptionally well with no known issues. There are no strange noises, shakes, or shimmies. I will take you through the entire car step by step with photos and words starting with the exterior. EXTERIOR This is the absolute best color combo for this car - brilliant red with camel interior. An outstanding eye grabber form any distance. This is not your normal MG. The car is not perfect but it has had excellent care. All of the factory seams are there and original including the doors. The floors are completely solid, not all slicked up in order to make a quick sale. Allow me to advance for just a minute. I removed the behind the seat mat in order to view the floor. It is very close to original condition, even around the battery housing. The car has the original fitted factory door edge guards – a small thing, but impressive! The doors, bonnet and trunk open and close with ease. There is no door sag. All of the moving parts line up correctly. All of the lights are in excellent condition including the front and rear side lights. The glass shows well including the wind screen. The side windows, including the vents, open and close easily and fit exactly right. The tires, wheels and beauty rings are in very good condition. HERE IS THE BEST PART: Seldom do you find an MG with a top that fits PROPERLY! This top is in very good condition and it has a wonderful fit. The tonneau cover is flawless and it too fits perfectly. All of the zippers open and close exactly right. I think it is in new condition. There are no stains or water marks on any of these covers. The boot is also in excellent condition. With the tonneau in place with just the drivers side open, it is nice and cozy even on a chilly day. Talk about fun..........note the photo with the top and windows in the up position; the top up with the windows down including the rear window and the top down with the tonneau open on the driver's side and with it completely buttoned up and lastly with the top down and the boot in place. INTERIOR I will show every bit of the interior with close up photos and words. When opening the doors, you will find an inviting interior with true sports car luxury, originality and pleasure all rolled together creating a truly beautiful interior. The door sills and door pads are in very good condition. The driver’s side carpet shows some wear. However, in my opinion, it is acceptable. The original MG rubber mats are still in place. The dash is hard to fault in any way. It is correct, brilliant and absolutely beautiful. The gauges are spotless, clear and very shiny. The glove box looks like new. The dash pad and visors are just like new. The MG owner’s book is included. Just another small but meaningful item is the shift boot.....EXCELLENT. The seats are not torn or worn. They sit well and all movement is functional. There are no tears on the seat backs. The steering wheel is in very good condition. ENGINE The engine and engine compartment are orderly and complete. It is very clean and complete. Not a thing is out of place. If you are so inclined, open the bonnet for display. The engine is very responsive and it goes through all four synchronized gears with surprising quickness and ease. It hugs the road and is quick to respond to any correction. The clutch and brakes are correct. This is a very tight car. It handles and drives very well at any speed. This car is a WHOLE LOT OF FUN TO DRIVE. TRUNK The trunk is clean and complete. Find the original jack and spare tire fitted in their proper position. It is next to impossible to find one like this. The floor is untouched. There is no rust repair to be found. It is completely solid. View the close up photos. This is the REAL DEAL! UNDER CARRIAGE The under carriage is also completely solid. There has never been any repair. It is original.
