Vehicle Detail
This was a car set up for the strip. I purchased it in 2007, added new black carpeting, safety harnesses, drive train, new paint and chrome, converted drum brakes to 4 wheel disk brakes, new ZZ383 GM crate motor with high rise, 750 4 bbl carburetor, 400 turbo reverse valve body racing transmission, stainless steel hooker headers followed by full dual exhaust and switch kit to open headers. There are 513 gears for the Dana 60 rear end, but is currently equipped with 410 gears Suspension with ladder bars instead of cheaper traction bars. The car was painted in spring 2012 and rechromed. Rims are aluminum with Mickey Thompson Street "slicks" approx 22" width. Things I would add would be interior soft door panels, tachometer, stereo and windshield wiper assembly. Otherwise, the car is beautifull and ready to go. Horsepower estimated at 500 +/- 5%. Mileage noted is approximate on the new drive train. Frame is solid. This is a great car and can provide the enthusiast many hours of fun and fills the "eye candy" billet quite nicely. A definite chick magnet! It is not known if it is a true Z28. It came with the original insignias, so it is assumed that it is a true Z28 at least in part. It really turns the tires and the engine is far from broken in being so new. I would not recommend this for a "high schooler" or whether someone should even trust a level headed adult to keep in check with its' power.
