You are viewing a one owner, meticulously maintained 2004 Mercury Marauder. This vehicle was purchased brand-new by an older gentleman and was garage kept it's entire life. The mileage is all highway mileage, as the owner worked approximately 100 miles from his home and made this commute several times a week. This is a rare example of a highly desirable car that was over-maintained. Synthetic oil changes every 4500 miles and regular full transmission and synthetic rear differential services kept this car in like-new shape. There is very little wear or tear anywhere on the car and it would easily pass for a 30,000-40,000 mile car. Marauders like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for a gorgeous one in one of the most desirable colors offered, at a price that is sure to be far less than most you will find for sale. This is a highly-documented car. The factory window sticker, all factory books and manuals and the original, factory keys and keyless remote fobs are included, one of the factory keys and both factory keyless fobs remain unused and are still attached to the dealer inventory tag from when purchased new. There is a high-end, aftermarket security system installed which comes with two remotes as well. The factory Ford Audiophile AM/FM/CD player is included and is in mint condition. Currently, a Pioneer flip-up DVD/CD/Stereo is installed but NONE of the factory wiring was cut, the dash was in no way altered and the factory unit can be re-installed within minutes. Recent maintenance, including; transmission service, differential and spark plugs (Motorcraft Platinum) were all done within the last 20,000 miles. The climate control module was also replaced with a new factory unit last year. The rear tires are in excellent shape and are the factory-spec B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's. The front tires are Falken ZIEX's in the factory size and they should be replaced in the next few months. However, they are fine for now. A Superchips MAX MicroTuner Power Programmer is installed and included with the vehicle as well. As with all Marauders, this car comes equipped with nearly every feature available, including; dual front and side impact airbags, dual power reclining leather bucket seating, console-mounted shifter, Cibie driving lamps, electronic traction control (switchable on/off), 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, 7,000 RPM tachometer, factory console-mounted Auto Meter voltage and oil pressure gauges, power adjustable pedals, power windows, power locks, power heated mirrors, automatic climate control, 18 X 8-inch polished aluminum wheels, special heavy-duty sport suspension, dual exhaust with polished 3 1/2" stainless-steel tailpipes and, of course, the super high-performance, 302 horsepower, 32-valve, dual-overhead cam 4.6 liter engine that was standard in all Marauders...referred to by many as the "Cobra engine". The transmission is the 4R75W 4-speed automatic which was upgraded for all 2004 models (the 2003 Marauder came with the lesser 4R70W) backed by the police-spec aluminum driveshaft and a heavy-duty 8.8" limited-slip (Traction Lok) differential with 3.55 gears. Optional features on this car, as it was ordered, include the dual power, heated front seats, front license plate bracket and trunk-mounted 6-disc CD changer. This is a very unique opportunity to own one of these rare cars for far less than the average of $12,000-$15,000 that these cars command in the current market. This unit is beautiful inside and out and is extremely clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremely clean. This is the Marauder afficianados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast. This is a factory Silver Birch Metallic car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere. This unit is in excellent overall condition despite the higher mileage. It is not brand-new, but VERY nice...actually as close to "mint" condition as you will find, considering. It has been very well-maintained and has little of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used vehicle. This vehicle, as most used vehicles do, will have imperfections...I have not been able to find a single ding on this car, but this typically includes; extremely minor scratches, chips, nicks, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives excellent. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles. This is a very nice driving, tight Marauder...not a beat-up car. It has never been abused and has been babied it's entire life. There will be a $175 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently.
