Up for sale is an excellent 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel 12 Valve Extended Cab Quad Cab with an automatic overdrive transmission with the most desired diesel engine ever produced - the Cummins 5.9 L 12 Valve Diesel engine. This truck is showing 145,000 miles on the odometer. This truck has no rust on the body or on the frame. It would make an excellent daily driver or would be happy to work for you as a hauler. Please watch the following video of the truck - cranking and a walkaround This the Cummins that you have been looking for: Flip out doors on the extended cab for easy access to the back seat - Dodge only made this option available on 12 valves for 1/2 a model year! Engine that is bone stock with no modifications and only has 145,000! Clean southern truck with absolutely NO rust issues! Obviously well taken care of - never hauled anything than a bumper pull camper! Everything works - even the fuel gauge (if you know about Dodge Cummins, most fuel gauges have quit working - not this one) This rare Dodge is in great overall condition. The motor has not yet turned 145,000 on the odometer. It has the ultra reliable Cummins 5.9 12 Valve Diesel that has been known to give over 1,000,000 miles of service. What other FULL SIZE truck can you get that will give low 20 to mid 20 mpgs and can pull ANYTHING you want it to? This truck is a true survivor - I have not waxed or detailed this truck. I am pointing out every dent, scratch, surface rust area, etc.....I have nothing to hide. As you can see from the pictures and the video the body is straight and rust free - except for the minor areas noted in the pictures and video - the top of the bed rails and sides of the bed box are by far the worst area on the whole truck -and they only have a couple of spots that have typical truck use scratches and can be seen in the picture and the video of this area . The frame is in great shape no surface rust / scale - absolutely no rust thru. Truck has the stock AM / FM tape and sound from the factory speakers. The interior is in great shape / condition for a Dodge Ram with a couple of cracks on the dash as its worst flaw. The seat upholstery is like new on all surfaces - the carpet is stain free - the headliner has no rips and does not sag at all. The front windshield glass is perfect with no cracks - all other glass is also good. The automatic transmission shifts thru all forward gears and reverse as it should. It also shifts into and out of overdrive as it should. Cruise control works properly and all finger controls work as they should. Truck has ice cold A/C. Engine has great power, idles smoothly and does not have blowby. Injection Pump does not leak. Glow plug system works properly as it should from the factory. This truck goes straight down the road without excess slop in the steering. This truck is a long bed with the full 8' bed. Never has had a fifth wheel. This truck has 3.55 rear end - provides the best fuel economy and low RPMs at highway speeds. The bad is as follows: Multiple cracks on the dash - but it is all still in tact - lots of Dodges have much worse cracked dashes Tires are in good shape but probably are down to 30-40 % tread left on them Truck is squeaky and will need the front ball joints replaced at some point in the near future Some light scratches on the body from truck use - few rock chips on the hood - nothing to be concerned about Has very slight seepage at the front main seal - it is a Cummins - it does not use any oil Had a sun visor on the roof with the original owner - it has since been removed and plugged and sealed professionally - no leaking or problem, just wanted to mention it Buy with confidence from a seller who has all positive feedback on every Diesel that I have sold.
