Vehicle Detail
I have owned this van for less than a year, it runs strong, clean outside which you can see from the pictures, the inside is also clean no stains. I bought this to replace my truck and save some money on gas. I'm selling it because I miss having a truck. There are a couple problems with the van that will need to be fixed soon, so I have made the price low enough to more than compensate any repairs that it may need. The worst problem is I hit a deer, it has cracked the bumper cover in several places which you can see in the pictures. The AC works but has a slow leak I had to put Freon in twice over last summer, and the heat works sometimes and sometimes it blows cold air. I have had a friend who is a mechanic look at the van the bumper cover/grill is the only thing that was damaged from the deer, there are several bumper covers listed on here one I was looking at was painted to match for under $400. The AC is an easy fix I just never seem to have time to get it taken care of. The heat, I had the radiator and heater cores flushed, and the thermostat changed, that did not help. I also had a compression check done to make sure the head or head gasket was not blown. It passed the compression check so the head gasket or head is not cracked. I have looked the problem up on the internet and it seems to be a common problem with the Chevy Uplander Vans that have the 3.9 engine. I had a mechanic from a Chevy dealer in Goshen Indiana stop in my office and I asked him about the problem and he told me that it is a common problem that there is a sensor that controls the vents that picks up wrong temps and adjusts its self and that will make it blow out the wrong temp air. For parts and labor he said it was less than $160 to fix. I'm not a mechanic and I don’t really have the time to really want to fix the van I prefer to just get rid of it and get a new truck. Listed with best offer I'm motivated to get rid of the van because the sooner I do the sooner I get my truck, but the price I have it listed for is already low and I'm not going to give it away. Van is being sold as is with no warranty!!!
