1971 International Harvester Scout II 4x4 with full detachable hard top for sale. This car has roughly 95,000 original miles on it and I am the third owner. Previous owner owned since 1985 and was a California car. 304ci, V8, 4 speed manual with power drum brakes and stainless steel brake lines. Sitting on a 2 inch lift with Bilstein shocks, front stabilizer bar and dual exhaust. Newer factory correct interior was done and is in pristine condition. Has Hella headlamps along with a full removable top with headliner. Nice Ultra Wheels with 33 x 12.5 x 15 with 90 % tread still remaining. There is a detachable, remote JVC CD stereo with ipod hook up installed and has upgraded speakers as well. Back seat flips forward for extra cargo space. Oregon tags are good until Jan. of 2015. Car won 1st place at the Scout Jamboree in 2007 in California for best stock Scout. This car is as clean as you can get without having done a full restoration job. Vehicle burns oil, but what old car that hasn't been restored doesn't? This is my daily driver and runs like a champ. I get thumbs up wherever I go in this. Would make a fun driver to the snow or in the summer take the top off and enjoy the air through your hair. Car has original paint in the interior (and it's perfect) and still has the origination sticker from Canada in the door. I've done body and paint for 25 years and I'm telling you this Scout is straight and clean. This car has had 1 paint job, probably in the mid 80's and I was going to paint it but I wanted people to see how clean and straight it is for themselves. Front and rear bumpers are in pristine condition with no damage to them. All glass and weatherstrips are good. The only rust through spot that I have seen is at the right front lower door jamb and surface rust on the lower fenders. Car comes with a full service manual from the 70's.
