Vehicle Detail

selling a very rare luxury car. i bought this from my uncle who bought it years ago at an estate sale. the previous owner took the car apart and had intentions of restoring it. he had the engine rebuilt (have reciepts) in 1977 but never put it back in the car. but he did at least, once a year take out the plugs and put in a little oil and then turn it over a couple of times, (thank God). then when my uncle bought it he did the same thing. so when i got the car last year i put the motor in and even got it to start. it has good compression. this car is 98% here all important parts are here and in good shape, the only thing lost over the years was the carburater. i adapted a model a carb to it and it works. the engine starts fairly easy. all the wood is here and in good shape even the floor. i do not think any of it needs replaced. all the metal is in very good shape. fenders, hood, doors, dash, cowl, gastank, and such are here and in almost perfect shape. all glass is present. the wooden spoke in the wheels are solid. the tires even all hold air. the doors close nice and solid, the windows go up and down. the drive line is in tact and installed in the car, new clutch(needs adujsted). very solid floor nothing wrong with it. only needs paint. gas tank is in the car, seats are there, dash panel with its guages. the running boards are made of wood with a rubber coating. they are the only thing that should be replaced. has new relined brakes. i think the radiator and shell are from a 1928 model. it is missing the gas cap and rad cap. has its dome light and ash tray for the rear passenger. i do have new door panels, and new roof material. has most of its door handles and window cranks. this car is not to for from being a driver. But it should really be restored. i brought it home in two truck loads, spent a year just bolting back together to see what was there. i really was surprised, that it was all here and very solid. but that is as far as i am going with it. it is too rare and complete, to cut up for a hot rod or a rat rod. back in the day if you had money you bought one of the three Ps. Packard Peirce arrow, or a Peerless. the Peerless club of America said only 100 Peerless's are registered . this car will start, but i did not hook up any throttle linkage or brakes so it is not a driver yet. i just wanted to get it running to make sure the motor is good. these cars were made in cleveland ohio. any questions 330-280-0926 mickOn Feb-07-13 at 09:03:25 PST, seller added the following information: vin tag nailed to the floor is factory. hard to read. but with a pencil etching you can see it says peerless motor co. model 61 and the serial number matches title. so every thing is good to goOn Feb-10-13 at 18:29:04 PST, seller added the following information: had a guy come look at it today. he said it is alot better than i described. he went over the whole thing with a magnet. did not find any bondo. like i said this is a very solid car. other than sanding and painting it needs almost no body work.
