Up for auction is a rare 1967 BMW 2000C E9. There were only 212 of this model produced nationwide. There are only 8 other 1967 2000C's noted on the E9 registry and my car has the earliest vin -- 1000282. This is the original color = Paint code 85 - Chamonix White. Chassis number 1608. Mileage indicates 31581 but no way to verify if it is accurate. The interior upholstery / carpet / headliner has all been restored by the previous owner. The original wood dash is in good shape but could use a new varnish. This car starts but I have not driven it. Floors are original and have some soft spots but no rust holes. All glass is in excellent shape. Amazingly, the front glass looks to be original and is a Sigla West Germany without any hazing or stone chips. Other glass is Duro Glass. Chrome is all in excellent shape and there is alot of it. Bumpers are exceptional. Nifty 8 track player mounted in glove box. Trunk has rust in the spare tire well -- which is normal. Right door latch is broken so it does not stay latched. Previous owner lost key and installed another ignition cylinder. Original ignition is still mounted. These early BMW's are becoming very rare to find and becoming extremely collectible. I have too many projects at the moment to restore this car.
