This 1981 Classic has been garage kept since new, all original inside and out. With ONLY 62,000 miles this car was used as a second vehicle and only driven occassionally. In excellent condition, no rust or fading, all glass free of cracks or chips. A/C blows cold. Runs GREAT! The Mercedes 300 series is known as one of the most reliable cars ever to hit the markets in America. Only minor imperfections: crack in dash (shown in pictures); rear hatch does not stay up on its own. Buyer to pay shipping or pick up. $500 deposit. Balance paid in 7 days after auction ends. This is an estate car and I don't have a lot of knowledge about it, other than my grandfather bought it new. After receiving several questions I was unable to answer we decided to bring it to a local mechanic that specializes in older model Mercedes Benz, he went over the car throughly, found only minor items and repaired them. The mechanics statement is "This is a very fine example of a 300TD - Great body shape - Strong engine and looks great. Minor problems." The odometer was working when I first test drove the car, I reset the trip meter while moving which broke the odometer. But the car has under 62,000 miles on it.
