Hello: Up for auction here is a really Rare factory soft top FJ40 Land Cruiser with the factory pick-up style drop down tailgate like her sister the FJ45! The top is in great shape with no tears and rear window is not frosted at all. It has the original factory bows holding the top up. I've seen a set of bows alone go for $1,000 on eBay. It has the original soft doors too! This is a CA vehicle with a clear title that DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SMOGGED!! The tires have massive tread and it has a new 2.5-in Old Man Emu/Dakar suspension lift. The lift and shocks are worth more than the starting bid! The rig drives and handles great. The engine runs STRONG and starts right up. I think it has a cam in it and she's got some power and torque! It has a cyclone header on it and a glasspack and she rumbles like a V-8! The carb is a dual webber and really give this machine some punch! it does have a manual fuel pump but the previous owner bypassed it with an electric one and it has a flow regulator inline between it and the carb. Probably to deliver more fuel to the big double carb. It has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points condenser and coil. Like any vehicle this old, it does have the drip on the rear main. The transmission is a 3-Speed on the floor and shifts fine. Its also has a spare tire mount with tire. the rear seats are the bench facing type and in good shape. This is a rust free CA vhicle, but it is 42 years old and has its share of dings, dents and scratches but all are minor, but what do you expect for a Bad A$$ OffRoad vehicle of this caliber. If you know Land Cruisers then you know what I'm talking about. I have another that I drive almost every day and my wife drives hers everyday to work and we take it to play as well. If you dont know then your missing out on the fun! I bought this rig to play when work was slow last year but things are picking up for me and I just don't have the time to give her the fun she desires so she's looking for a new home. I forgot to mention earlier the alternator is new as well and shows a good charge while running. The chassis is rust free and SOLID! All seats are original and in very good condition. especially the front. Makes me sad looking at all these photos and know she's gonna go live with someone else. such a cool rig with the factory style top and the drop down tailgate. Oh well, one you is gonna love her because the super Low Reserve has Been Met!! Oh, several people have asked if the tailgate had any Rust on the bottom inside and outside and the answer is NO, there is not rust/rot anywhere surface rust in a few places yes but what doesn't?!
