Offered by Quality Motors of Independence KS is this amazing 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe. This car has been preserved and left un-touched for almost 45 years! It has the original #'s matching 289 V8 with Automatic tranmission. It has factory power disc brakes & power steering. The car starts, runs & drives excellent. The previous owner did have the heads freshened up (valve job, seals, etc) but the short block was left alone other than new gaskets. When the heads were done, they did clean the engine & air cleaner and re-painted it in the original Ford blue. The radiator and top of core support were also given a fresh coat of black spray paint at that time. Recent maintenance performed include: new tires, u-joints, rear shocks, battery, battery cables, plugs & wires, transmission service, new exhaust (glasspack mufflers), brake caliper & pads, water pump, timing chain, brake light & back-up light bulbs. The interior is all un-restored - still has the original carpet & padding, FoMoCo seatbelts, original seat upholstery (does have some splits in drivers lower cusion), mint headliner and dash pad & original package tray. Sill plates have some dings from the seatbelts hitting them over the years. Steering wheel has no cracks and is in excellent condition. Still has the Philco AM radio in good working order. It has the original sunrise yellow paint that has not been touched up or re-painted - still has an excellent shine but has some chips and light dings here and there. Never any rust, never any patches! Has all the original tinted glass including windshield. All trim is stock and has various dings & scratches here and there. Weatherstrip and window fuzzies are also original and show cracks/wear. Trim tag info is as follows: Body - 65A, Color - W, Trim - 2A, Date - 04 D, DSO - 71, Axle - 2, Trans - W.
