Up for sale is a 1983 Mercedes 240d with an engine/tranny swap out of a doner 1982 300d that was claimed as totalled after being rear-ended. I had always wanted the engine out of that car and I got a good deal from my friend who had always kept up with his maintenance. The car is rust free except below the front passenger fender and also have put in a picture of it. The odometer on this car is reading correctly but unfortunatey the speedo is now stuck at 40MPH. You can find the speedos online, I just did not want to swap it out and not have the accurate miles. I love this car and it pains me to sell it but I am moving out and do not have room for another car. The stereo works well, I have a 1600 watt amp, 2 MTX 12" subs, 2 Infinity speakers in the front, 2 sony speakers in the rear. Tires still have plenty of life left and are pirelli P4 all-seasons. She also has 15% tint all around to preserve the interior. engine/tranny mounts replaced less than 100 miles ago, valve adjustment done 300 miles ago, new pads and rotors (drilled/slotted) in rear, also have pads and rotors for the front that I will be including with this car although they are no where near needing change. The antenna mast need to be replaced as it needs to be helped up and down. The dash is very clean with only one or two minor cracks, the sunroof works great.
