Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevrolet C-10 Shop/Service Truck that I recently completed in 2012. I am the second owner of the pickup. My wife and I purchased it from the original owners son who got the pickup handed down to him. It has a clean and clear Idaho Title. The process was to keep the original shop truck look while going through the engine and drive train to make a reliable awesome head tuner. The pickup runs and drives great! Starts up every time regardless if its 3 degrees out or 103 degrees. All the electrical works flawlessly including headlights, brake lights, parking lights, blinkers, charging system, interior cab light, radio, dash lights and more. The horn button is missing from the steering wheel and I never did get around to finding another to replace it. All the glass is in great shape with one minor chip on the passenger side of the windshield, The door windows and wing windows function as they should. With functional Speedometer, Oil Gauge, Voltage Gauge, Temp Gauge, Gas Gauge, and Air Bag Pressure Gauge you will never have to wonder or guess. This pickup rides better then most newer vehicles on the road thanks to the full air ride suspension all the way around. I added a dual paddle setup inside the cab with a pressure gauge to show air bag psi for both the front and rear of the pickup. The air tank is equipped with a 180psi off and 140psi on sensor that will keep the air tank at an optimum air pressure. There is a toggle power switch for the compressor conveniently located inside the cab allowing you to turn power on and off to it at anytime. The compressor and air tank are located in the bed of the pickup. The old hand painted Texaco gas logos on the doors still look great and have show through areas where the main paint color comes through giving it that awesome vintage look. This is an original paint pickup with no body filler and all original metal. This is a numbers matching truck. Originally Fremont California Plant pickup. This pickup was purchased in Boise, ID in 1968 and has been here ever since. Included with the truck will be all of the original paperwork that I received with the pickup when I purchased it including Original 1968 owners manual, Original 1968 Owners Protection Plan Book, Original Invoicing and Build Sheets from Fremont CA Plant. The pickup was ordered with these options - 327 2B- 3 Speed Manual Transmission on Column Shift- Panoramic Rear Window- Front Stabilizer- Oil Bath Air Cleaner- Full Foam Seat- AMP OIL TEMP Gauges- Green Vinyl Trim These are just a few of the things that were either replaced, rebuilt, or added to the pickup.- New Air Ride Setup Including 4 Airbags, High Grade 3/8" Air Line, Compressor, Tank, Switches, Gauges, Brackets, and more- Professional Rebuilt 2B Carburetor- New AC Delco OEM Distributor- New AC Delco OEM Rotor- New AC Delco OEM Coil and Resistor - New Spark Plugs- New Timing Chain- New Oil Pump- New Spin on Oil Adapter (Allows you to go to any service shop for easier oil changes)- New Clutch- New Headman Headers- New 2 1/2" Stainless Exhaust Tubing- 40 Series FlowMaster Mufflers- Rebuilt/Reman Alternator- New Belt- New Battery- Tanked Radiator - Tanked Heater Core- Flushed Brake Lines and Master Cylinder- Turned Rotors and Brake Shoes around 6k miles ago- Differential Gear Oil Change- Upper and Lower Ball Joints around 6k miles ago- Wheel Bearing Pack around 6k miles ago- New Wiper Blades- New Ignition Switch - New Headlight Switch- New Choke Cable- Recovered Dash Pad- Blanket style Seat Cover- 75% Tread Left on White Wall Tires Please message me with any additional questions you might have.
