Vehicle Detail
This is a 1974 Ford Bronco Ranger that I recently purchased from an elderly man. He owned the Bronco from 1978. Back in the early 90s the bottom end began to make a noise. He began to pull the engine, but a back injury stopped him short of completion. After the accident he could no longer drive the Bronco and so there was no reason to complete the engine rebuild. The engine has had the carb, alternator, distributor, fuel pump, and power steering pump removed. The parts are all still present except the carb and starter solenoid. They have been lost to time. BODY The body has some rust bubbling through the paint (see images), but it is in very good condition overall. The floor pans are solid from the underside. The only rust through I could find was on the bottom of the drivers side door, but it is a small area and easily repairable, image attached and a half dollar size spot in the passenger side floor pan. The rocker panels are solid with some minor surface rust as are the rear corners that are prone to rusting out. The original bumpers are in very good condition. I have a NOS set of fiberglass flares that I will include (see image) INTERIOR Someone installed a custom interior. The drivers side door panel is abscent. The other panels could use replacing as they are warped. The rear portion of the headliner is abscent. The carpet fit is excellent and with a good cleaning I think it would be fine. I was not able to get the passenger side door to open. The mechanism is jammed up. I am including a rear seat from another of my Broncos. It does not match but is a good base for reupholstery. TRIM The Ranger trim is in very good condition. The only part that I found damaged is the passenger side door trim. It is slightly bent at the front from the door being opened without a limiting strap at some point (appears to be the cause). The passenger side quarter and tailgate pieces are abscent, but can be purchased from Toms Bronco Parts. The only other piece that is missing is around the rear glass on the drivers side. It is only one of the four pieces. They show up regularly on eBay. I have some spare pieces, but not this one. DRIVETRAIN The drivetrain was all functional when the engine went. The transmission goes into park and engages and rolls when in neutral. The transfer case shifts smoothly and the front hubs engage and disengage as to be expected. SUSPENSION Suspension looks good, however could probably do with new shocks. The rear shocks have been converted to air adjustable shocks. BRAKES The brakes are not functioning. The master cylinder needs replacing. Once it is replaced additional items could be necessary. TOP Top is in great shape. The bows are slightly bent and should be pushed back up and there is some rust on the rear drip rail, but it is only on the outer edge. From the top side it is solid. TITLE Alabama does not issue titles for vehicles older than 1976, so it will come with a bill of sale only. I can provide a copy of a tag receipt in my name if requested. PAYMENT Payment in full is expected within 7 days and a deposit of $500 will be required via PayPal within 48 hours, otherwise the vehicle will be relisted. I can hold the vehicle for a month from the date of purchase. I have a loading dock and can assist with loading. It does roll.
