Up for auction is a great 1956 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton short bed pickup. It has the original 6-cyl engine with 3-speed manual trans (column shift). The truck runs and drives great, engine sounds good, trans shifts good and is quiet - clutch feels good too. It has new plugs and wires, cap/rotor/points, and a new battery. It has new 15x7 front & 15x8 rear 5-spoke aluminum wheels with new Cooper Cobra tires - 275/60-15 rear and 245/60-15 front. The body was originally turquoise but was painted charcoal gray back in 1980. It has since weather and has a great faded "gray primer" looking patina. The taillights had been frenched many years ago and the bodywork around them is cracking. It also has rust in the lower front fenders and cab corners, however, new patch panels for both are included. The bed is in awesome condition - no rust, not dented up like most old trucks, not bondo'd up. Nice straight and solid original tailgate and rear bumper. The doors are good and solid - pass door had a small dent in the middle and the plastic filler used to repair is cracked and will need a little attention. The front fenders are solid over the headlights, nice grill, hood & front bumper. The entire truck is exceptionally straight and have all the original panels that have a good fit. The interior is in good useable condition - seat is good, rubber floor mat is original and needs replaced. Windshield has a crack. Truck is being sold AS IS. Buyer responsible for transportation. Truck starts, runs & drives and can be loaded on a trailer/transport easily or you can drive home. I have a clear Kansas title that will be provided upon full payment. $500 deposit due with 72 hrs of sale end and balance is due within 7 days or upon pick up - whichever comes first.
