Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 For auction is a numbers matching 1967 Datsun 2000 – one of less than 650 imported into the US. This is car SRL311-00402 with engine U20-735. This is a restoration project and does not run – but wouldn’t be too hard to get running. This would be a good car to work on over this winter and get it ready to hit the road this summer. The car will be sold with bill of sale and is located in Houston TX. Engine will need a rebuild but is solid. I have taken the head off to check it out and pistons are fine. Frame solid with no rust through or soft spots. Body has rust in the usual places and will need to go to a body shop. As you can see in the photos, this is the original ’67 body, but someone has filled in the license plate trim holes. The drivers side floor has NO holes or rust through. The pass side has two 3” holes near the front and will need a small piece of one of the patch panels sold by Sports Imports or Datsunparts.com. The trunk is solid, inside of the rear quarters are good – never been hit. The fenders need replacing and this auction INCLUDES 2 solid fenders as shown in the photos.
