Up for bid is a one owner 1972 Ford F-100 pickup. She has a 360 engine, 4 speed granny low transmission and is equipped with factory 4 wheel drive. Drum brakes all the way around that stop on a dime. The truck is in amazing original condition, never been wrecked or damaged in any way. She is as original as you are going to find...the milage has been confirmed by the original owners daughter to be accurate 42901 to be exact. The truck spent its entire life in Northern Nevada and Southern Idaho so she was never subject to salt air which kept the rust to a minimum. There is not a single dent in the body, including the floor of the bed and the bed wheel wells. It has been very well maintained and was NEVER abused. The truck is extremely tight, she goes down the road without a shimmy, shake or rattle. She runs, drives and stops as it should. The fuel system will need to be gone thru as is has 6 year old gas in her (expect to re-build the carb and clean out the tanks) as the truck has been sitting in a garage for the last 6 years. It does run but the carb is deff gummed up (wont idle off choke) The truck is not a show truck, however it is a great find to anyone looking for an F-100 of this era. I have been collecting 73 to 77 fords my whole life, and to find one that has never been painted or hacked into in this shape (with such low milage) is a rare find. The truck has alot of potential, she can be a super daily driver with just a carb rebuild and fresh gas...or can be an easy restoration, thats up to you. I bought her as an investment, as my collecting consists of 73 to 77 highboys. She is 100% original. BTW the truck has NEVER been smoked in, the ashtray has never seen a cigarette butt...same goes for the original lighter! I was impressed with that when I bought her, not very common. I was told they worked (I dont see why they wouldnt). The tanks are empty, however I would suggest cleaning them out prior to use. The color code is Winter Green, Final Assembly point is San Jose.
