Vehicle Detail
This is a 1974 Ford Bronco, U154, that I bought to restore. I have too many other projects and will never get around to it. It is a steel half cab with a Ramsey PTO winch. It has manual steering, non-assist brakes, and four wheel drums. It could be back on the road with very little effort and be a daily driver/ project. It is far from perfect and I have tried to describe all of its short comings below. There are no titles for vehicles older than 1976 in Alabama. I can provide a bill of sale and a copy of my current tag registration in my name. I will respond to email questions in a fast and punctual manner. I expect payment in full within 7 days. If payment is not received I will re-list the vehicle. I can assist with loading the vehicle for transport. It is located just outside of Tuscaloosa, AL. Engine The engine is a 302 V-8 and appears to be original. It runs, however you must use a remote starter to bypass the starter solenoid and fuel must be run from a separate container. The gas tank is intact and does not seem to be leaking. I assume the problem is a fuel line that is clogged. Once running the engine is smooth, however there is a bottom end rattle. I do not know if it is a rod or main. It can be driven onto a trailer. Transmission It shifts through all the gears smoothly, but the column has been replaced with a later Ford column so it is not original. Drivetrain The front axle is a Dana 44 and the hubs operate properly. The rear is a Ford 9 inch. The Dana 20 transfer case functions properly. The wheels and tires will hold air to get on a trailer. The winch is complete, however I have not tried to operate it. I do not want to run the engine for extended periods given its condition. Body The body has been through the ringer. You can see in the images that the floor pan will need to be replaced. The passenger side rocker is dented in. Both front fenders and grill have damage. The hood and trunk open and close properly. The doors are a little hard to open because of the door latch mechanism needing service. All the glass has been knocked out by the previous owner's children. Someone cut off the window frames on both doors. The half cab is steel and has some corrosion, but is definitely useable and could be repaired easily. Interior There are no seats and only a door panel on the passenger side. The steering column has been changed out with a later Ford column. I do not know from what, however the steering and transmission shifter function properly. Brakes I have not checked the brakes. I would count on all new hardware. I did have to remove the rear drums as they were rusted in place in order to move the vehicle. One was damaged during removal. It does have four wheel drums.
