Vehicle Detail
I have a fully restored daily driver 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is an outstanding car, with absolutely no rust! Gets great gas mileage, about 23MPG!! It has been an Arizona car its entire life! I have driven it for years, and just finished restoring it. I hate to sell it, but need the money. This car has a completely CLEAR title, and is registered and insured as a historic vehicle. I have had no problem getting it emissions tested. If you have classic car insurance, you DO NOT have to get it emissions tested in Arizona (a loop hole, but can only be driven 2500 miles a year). As you can see below, I have put a lot of time and money into this car, and it really shows! A ton of parts have been bought from Chirco (Local classic VW part supply), and they know us pretty well. My parents and I have been fixing up bugs for years, and combined have restored over 30 bugs over the years. About this car: Motor: - New 1776cc dual port motor built new about 5000 miles ago - High lift (Performance) cam shaft - Lightened flywheel - Dual Barrel Progressive Weber Carburator - Scat intake - Bosch Blue High Output Coil - Electronic Points - Fuel Pump with variable regulator - EMPI Oil Breather kit - High Output Oil Cooler and Fan - Magnesium Aluminum Case (Brand New, i.e. 5000 miles) - 4-Tip GT High Performance Exhaust System Drivetrain - Rebuilt Manual Transmission put in about 2000 miles ago - Completely redone front end (New bushings, ball joints, etc. about 10k miles ago) - Rebuilt MacPherson Struts (New Shocks in tubes) - Complete drum brake overhaul (New brakes, Drums, Wheel Cylinders, Master Cylinder about 10k ago) - Tires: ~30% tread left, but tires need to be replaced. - Classic Mag wheels - Rear Air Shocks (Can be inflated to ~125 PSI) New interior - Carpet - 2 Cup holder, center console (Bugs normally do not have any cup holders, this is an aftermarket upgrade) - Seats redone - Headliner in good shape - Stereo -- AM/FM Radio -- CD Player -- iPod dock with mountable screen -- 4 speakers ---- 6" 3-way speakers in front ---- Speaker kit in rear Exterior: - New windows all the way around (Brand new windows, brand new gaskets all around) - Completely redone door window/wing window gaskets - Brand new door frame rubbers - Brand new paint job - Dual mirrors (Left and Right, normally only has one on left) - New Running Boards - Door locks same as ignition Electrical: - Everything works!! Which if you know classic cars, you know how important this one is! - New Sylvania Cool Blue Headlights - All lights work (Turn signal, Hazard, Headlights, Brakes, Markers, etc.) - Dome light works, passenger door, On - All Dash Lights work - Windshield wipers work - Turn Signals/Hazards work Other: - Has complete A/C system installed. Front condenser, dryer, and cooler housing broken, and need to be replaced. Once this is done, you will have a fully functional A/C! When this was working, it worked great! It blew ICE COLD, and only drew ~3HP. The older A/C systems drew 6 or more HP, so this will not kill ya when in use. Will probably be able to get this back with a few hundred dollars. This system new costs over $1k, and since it is not working, has been well reflected in the cost of the car. I can give you information on where to get parts to fix this.
