Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This Buick estate wagon was one of the most expensive, and now most rare, of all the Buicks built in 1950. Only 2,480 customers gave one a home. It was the choice for the affluent growing families across the country. The estate wagons were custom finished by Ionia Manufacturing, which produced wood bodies for Buick from 1946–1964. This example received a body-off restoration several years ago, at a reported cost of over $100,000, and today, it remains nearly faultless. Every area of the car has been restored to a high level. Excellent fit and finish is evident on every body panel and seam. The engine compartment is simply beautiful, with proper paint, hoses, clamps, and wires. The passenger compartment is just as stunning, with red leather upholstery as well as outstanding brightwork and trim throughout. From top to bottom, this Buick is clearly one of the best illustrations of the rare estate wagon to be found and will be appreciated in any collection 124 hp, 263.3 cu. in. inline eight-cylinder engine, Buick Dyna-flow automatic transmission, front and rear coil spring suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 121.5 in.
