This Jeep is located in Sparks Nevada. 258 4.2 in line 6 cylinder (has all smog equipment and meets U.S.E.P.A. And state of California smog regulations. According to the previous owner the jeep sat for nearly a year and a half in his backyard untouched and non-op due to a problem in the steering column linkage, that connects the key cylinder to the ignition switch. Once I got the jeep home, I found a used but complete steering column on Craigslist that I bought and installed on the jeep. I replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributer cap, and rotor. After the repairs, the Jeep started right up and I was able to drive it around the neighborhood. It idles smooth and hits highway speeds, but its a little rough and can use a little final tunning (mostly timing and carb). It also leaks a lot of oil from what looks to be near the rear main engine seal. The frame and tub are in great condition with zero rust anywhere. It's still showing the original paint that is clearly in very poor condition, but on the positive side it's easy to see its not a bondo bucket. All the electrical seems to work fine and all the wires are still soft with minimal corrosion between connections. I do not have a top for it, but I have quite a bit of mounting hardware for a soft top, although I'm not sure if its complete. The jeep has a California title still in the previous owners name that is properly signed off. Its clean and clear with no back fees. I was very excited to get this jeep as I have always wanted one, but with all the moving I have done over the last few years I no longer have any tools to make this jeep what I want, and it makes no since to spend more money on tools than It would to build it my way.
