For Sale is one:1985 MERCEDES BENZ 500 SEC 2 DOOR SPORT COUPE ROADSTER THIS IS A 2 OWNER VEHICLE AND IS IN REALLY NICE SHAPEORIGINAL VEHICLE PRICE WAS $52,000 IN 1985SECOND OWNER PAID $30545.50 IN 1991 I ACQUIRED THIS VEHICLE AS THE SECOND OWNER COULD NOT PAY THIER REPAIR BILL ON ANOTHER VEHICLE, SO I GAVE THE OWNER MONEY FOR THIS VEHICLE AS WELL AS CLEARING HIS BILL ON HIS TRUCK. I AM ATTEMPTING TO RECOUP MY LOSSES SO TO SPEAK BY SELLING THIS SUPER CLEAN GOOD RUNNING CAR WITH A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION OR BODY. THE MILEAGE STATES 87000 ON THE ODOMETER, BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE IF THIS IS ACCURATE AS I AM JUST THE 3RD WHEEL IN THIS TRANSACTION. ENGINE RUNS GOOD, DOES NOT SMOKE WHEN WARM, NO COOLANT LEAKAGE EITHER. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD AND SOLID, FLUID IS RED AND DRIVES VERY NICELY. I CANNOT SEE ANY ISSUES WITH THIS CAR, EXCEPT THE MOON ROOF IS NOT FUNCTIONING. THE MOTOR TO OPEN/CLOSE WORKS, BUT SINCE I DO NOT WORK ON MERCEDES I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR TO FIX IT. TIRES HAVE 70% TREAD, EXHAUST IS ALL THERE, NOTHING MUCH ELSE ABOUT THIS CAR EXCEPT THAT IT DRIVES QUITE WELL.On Dec-12-12 at 17:48:26 PST, seller added the following information: For some reason, the page says "local pick-up only", but this vehicle through your shipper is more than welcome to be shipped anywhere you want as long as you get the courier and transporter!On Dec-15-12 at 22:01:29 PST, seller added the following information: I had someone tell me that the car showed 120K in 2001 on a car fax..... I guess speedo cluster was replaced or??? that is why I said in the listing that I do not know if odometer is correct and assume no liability in knowing true/actual mileage. I just know it runs good and only problem is the sun roof does not work. I keep getting emails from 4 different people asking me about lights in the dash and grill, seat heaters work or not, vacuum ran parts, paint thickness, single stage or 2 stage paint, air pressure in the tires, if the squirrels in the engine swish or swoop, if I can pull the transmission pan and look inside and send pics, this, that and about 50 other items they want ME to check out. This car is sold as is and I described it as best as I can without tearing the car completely apart to which I am not doing I dont work on german cars. I guess people are wanting me to disassemble the car for their amusement? I took pics, wrote a fair description. To those people, either bid or get lost! If this continues, I will pull car from ebay auction and have it crushed for $300 for scrap. To me this is what it is turning out to be. And if anyone is looking just for parts (getting emails about that too) buy the car, get what you need, then you part it out on ebay. Also, if you have LESS than 50 sales on ebay, you cannot bid! Its easy to keep changing names to not get caught cheating people. On Dec-17-12 at 13:51:43 PST, seller added the following information: New Pics taken show a dry trunk, and it has been POURING rain here. The back seat pic shows a shadow on the drivers rear seat, it is not tore or damaged. Dash pad, clean no cracks, rear window package tray the same. Headliner looks great, carpets and more all nice and clean! Motor is all there, no parts hacked as I see most of them that way. Adult owned (previous owner is in his 60's) Good luck to all bidders~!
