Vehicle Detail
This 1973 Town and Country wagon is very clean and straight and drives very nice and tight. It has 36K miles on it according to the odometer and the previous owner and it looks like that is correct, but I do not have any way to prove it or otherwise be certain. It does have the numbers matching engine but the transmission is not matching numbers. The paint is virtually all original and shines very nicely. It has some chips and slight dings as seen in the photos. There is a dent on the lower rear quarter just behind the left rear wheel. The chrome and other trim are generally very nice as well, even on the outside review mirrors. The woodgrain siding is quite nice given the age of the vehicle, but is showing some fading. It too looks original. The car has virtually no rust except a slight amount just above the rear side windows as shown in the photos (typical for these models), a spot just below the edge of the left rear door and a slight amount around the cap plug in the spare tire compartment (see photo). That is all I could find. Carpet in passenger area has been replaced. Seats are very nice with no cracks and likewise for the dash pad. Door panels are very nice as well, and the plastic covers in the rear compartment are very nice with no chalking like most of these wagons. The headliner probably would be replaced. Power windows and seat work but some of the power door locks do not unlock, the A/C does not work nor does the radio. All the lights and turn signals work. This is a 6 passenger wagon, but I believe I have all the parts to convert it to a 9 passenger wagon, with those seats identical to (same color) and just as nice as the ones in the car, available separate from the auction for just a little extra cost if desired. The car runs and drives nicely with smooth power steering, quiet ride, and steers and tracks as it should. This car could be taken to shows and look good as is or used for trips to the Home Depot. The car is impressive for its uniqueness, size and style, with nice features such as a tailgate that opens like a door or folds down like a tailgate. It has a power tailgate window as well.
