1958 PONTIAC STAR CHIEF – NICE... NICE CAR LUXURY UNLIMITED PONTIAC HISTORY 1958 WAS PONTIAC'S 50th ANNIVERSARY YEARMANY OUTSTANDING FEATURES MADE IT THE 'GOLDEN MILESTONE' CARFINEST MOTOR CAR PONTIAC HAS EVER PRODUCED The Pontiac Spring and Wagon Works was incorporated in July 1899 by Albert G. North and Henry G. Hamilton. In 1907, they decided to try their hand at building an automobile. Their very first one was introduced that fall. It was a high wheeler weighing 1000 pounds and powered by a two-cycle water cooled 12 HP engine. A prototype was displayed October 1907 at New York City's Grand Central Palace. In December of the same year, several new models were exhibited. The car was well received and the press praised the car. The first deliveries were made in early 1908. On February 2, 1942, Pontiac built the last civilian automobile made in America. All automobile factories converted to Military production. Pontiac history is rich and colorful. By 1957, Pontiac was a runaway freight train, daring and forever young. The fuel injected Bonneville was hip deep into stock car racing. Pontiacs were unstoppable and unbeatable. THIS 1958 PONTIAC STAR CHIEF Spring is less than 4 months away. Placing an order now allows ample time to personalize your car for a full season of fun in the sun. Time flies and suddenly it's 'cruisen time'...This is a highly original, unrestored automobile with just 63,000 miles. It has been owned by the same person for 40 years. For all of it's 55 years it still shows well, a beautiful, luxury automobile. It is sound, straight, handles and drives very well. All of the chrome, moldings and stainless trim is original and in remarkable condition. The main reason the '58 is growing so rapidly in value and popularity is because of its many featured exterior and interior trim. This is the ultimate 1958 Pontiac with luxury unlimited. Pontiac's glamour-line model matched bold engineering with a special flair in styling and performance. New jewel tone colors, reserved exclusively for Star Chief and Bonneville owners…………… Special styling touches in side and rear chrome work and custom wheel covers were standard equipment. Inside, luxury is truly unlimited with "stardust" carpeting underfoot to the deluxe instrument panel. The total effect is colorful and exciting. There is new brilliance under the hood too, the 395 engine with four-barrel carburetion is standard in all Star Chief's. There was no other motor car built in America more justly famous for magnificent colors and interiors. Even from a distance, the Star Chief immediately sets itself apart from other period cars. I have included 70 plus photos covering all parts of the car. The engine is original, responsive and dependable. The serial # is K858H9444. The engine and engine compartment has been maintained. It is clean and worthy of display at cruises and shows. The interior is an amazing discovery for those who have never owned a 58 Star Chief. You are surrounded by gadgets, chrome and luxury including hidden duel ash trays suitable for change or personable treasures. There are some things you just do not find very often. The interior lights are intact and they work. The dash pad is not cracked and looks like new. The gauges are not cloudy and all of the dash chrome is in very good condition, all bright and shiny. The deluxe radio works and here is an extra bonus the heater and the blower motor are in fine working order. Many close up photos are included showing all parts of the interior. The exterior is the original factory color, Star Chief Custom sedan Redwood Copper with Pitina ivory roof and accent. This is the very best color combination….OUTSTANDING. A striking eye grabber from any distance. The doors, hood and trunk all line up exactly right and open, close and fit correctly. All of the factory seams are intact and original. Nothing is missing from the exterior. It is a wonderful work of art! A few additional bonuses are included.
