The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The first generation Firebirds had a characteristic Coke bottle styling. Unlike its cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro, its bumpers were integrated into the design of the front end and its rear "slit" taillights were inspired by the Pontiac GTO. Both a two-door hardtop and a convertible were offered through the 1969 model year. Originally the car was a "consolation prize" for Pontiac, who had initially wished to produce a two-seat sports car of its own design, based on the original Banshee concept car. However, GM feared such a vehicle would directly compete with Chevrolet's Corvette, and the decision was made to give Pontiac a piece of the pony car market by having them share the F-body platform with Chevrolet. Ther is no car better then this year of fire bird to capture the attitude of the late 60's then a 1968 firebid RAM AIR 4 SPEED.This red bird was built with two things in mind SPEED and STYLE. to make the best of both worlds a 350 4 BOLT CHEVY BLOCK WAS TAKEN DOWN AND HONED &BORD, BALANCED AND PUT BACK TOGETHER ONLY USING THE BEST OF ALL THE AFTER MARKET GOODIES..GEAR TO GEAR DRIVE FOR THE TIMIMG AND A MOLORY COIL AND IGNITION. EDELBROCK has complemented the intire top of this 383 stroker with ALUMINUM Hypreformance HEADS, Aluminum HyPO INTAKE, polish Aluminum valve covers and a Edelbbrock 750cfm carborator. All this Power is attached to a muncy 4 speed with a hirst pistol grip. The interior is all new, the dash is new, the carpet is new, every thing in and on this car is new.. the old badges have all been replace with new ones that pop and sparkel just like jewlery. These badges are bages of honor as i the head dress of a feared warrior. You won't find a better firebird then this one any where!This car has been polished and tuned to the highest degree.
