Vehicle Detail

1966 olds 442 l69 factory tri power 4 speed, bucket, console, 390 posi. i have no paper work on car for the tri power but i can do one better the orginal owner is alive here in portland and confirmed he drove it off the show room floor a factory tri power car. so here is a little back ground on the car i have a complete title search on the car and have talked to the 4 owners of it since it was new they are all still alive and i will give who ever buys the car there names and numbers. the original owner went into bob huffman oldsmobile here in portland to have warranty work done on his 65 442 and while waiting he walked onto the show room floor and there set a white, black vinyl top, black interior, tri power 4speed 1966 442. he told me he had to have it and he trade his almost new 65 442 in on it. he said that he took the car from there bought a hurst t handle and had american racing mags put on it the day he bought it. the car was purchased on 07/29/1966 he said he paid 3222.00 for it. he owned the car till feb of 1969 and car was sold to second owner who bought the car from the house of hardtops here in portland, he drove it till he broke a piston and sold it in sept of 1970. the third owner repaired motor, put a w30 cam in it, extended the stock oil pan, and put stewart warner gauges under the dash that are still in it. he drove it and sold it to his brother in law in 1980. the fourth owner broke a piston also and parked the car the last time it was tagged was 1982. after this the car sat outside for years till it was bought by a friend of mine in 1991 and then in 2010 i bought it. i pulled the motor out and its a 390925E block the julian code is 168, the intake julian date is 151 and the b head is stamped v107814T. the production date of the car was 07b which is the second week of july. so it appears to be the original block, heads, dist, carbs and intake. the only thing in the drive train i could find wrong was the tranny it was a real early muncie so it must have been replaced still has correct shifter rods have been restored, i DONT HAVE A TRANNY FOR THE CAR NOW but who ever buys the car i have a 66 muncie for my chevelle that i just had rebuilt for 1200.00 that for extra money ill sell that one with the olds. the rear end is the original 390 posi, sway bar all still intact. as you can see in the pictures all the tri power parts are original no repops, the filter bowl is original as is all the lines and linkage. carbs have been pro rebuilt and are restored. motor is completely rebuilt and has not been fired, it has egge .030 over pistons, balanced, crank is .010 rods .010 mains, rods resized, good rod bolts, comp cam 280h, comp dual roller timing set, comp cam roller tip rockers, heads completely rebuilt, motor is completely assembled and just has a coat of high heat paint on it to keep it from rusting. i even had the original water pump rebuilt. have original exhaust manifolds car still looks to have original exhaust on it. flywheel is balance and turned, the orginal valve covers have been re chromed, the body is super nice still wearing alot of its origianl paint, it looks like the hood and trunk had been spotted at one time as the paint is coming off of those parts, the original owner said he had the hood repaired because a box fell on it. the floors and trunk are super nice the only bad thing is the rust around rear window which i have a new rear panel from rear window to trunk and the upper part of the front winsheild where the vinyl top rusted out and i have another section for it. the lower part around the winshield is super nice, the rest of the top is great. the body is super straight it appears to have never been wrecked, all the trim is super nice and if it was polished would be amazing, the car was always well kept it was the last owner who let it sit out side and the top started to peel. i have a new headliner, vinyl top, door panels front and rear, seat covers, perfect dash pad, nice plastic dash insert thats not broken, console and vacumm gauge are super, even the rubber boot around the shifter is still soft and nice. i hate to sell but dont have time to finish. i have lots of stuff done already and ready to go back on car im sure im forgetting some things. the pictures of the guy with the car is the second owner and the one picture of the car in 1969 were from him also. any questions please ask car sold as-is where is, buyer responsible for all shipping, 500.00 due at end of auction and the rest in 7 days end of auction. depsoit non refundable. On Dec-02-12 at 16:52:19 PST, seller added the following information: ive had a lot of questions, i can put the motor back in the car for shipping, all the parts can be loaded and packaged so nothing gets damage inside car. ive had a lot of offers on the car and i will tell the same ive told a couple of people now,IF SOMEONE HITS THE BUY IT NOW ONLY, THESE PARTS DO NOT GO WITH CAR AND ARE NOT FOR SALE UNLESS CAR SALES, ill throw this stuff in on the buy it now, someone will get the 66 muncie fully rebuilt and restored correct 010 case just paid 1200.00 to rebuild , a complet restored power steering set up, rebuilt steering box, pump, repop belt and new p.s. hoses, rear defogger, am fm radio, rebuilt floor shift tilt column, radio block off plate, a correct coded re cored radiator that i just paid 500.00 to have done, (CAR HAS A RADIATOR THAT GOES WITH IT NOT THIS NEW ONE) , complete soft ray glass all side glass and rear window very nice and a sidewinder factory tach. the car didnt come with this stuff but ive collected it, i also have a reliable shipper who i could ask how much to ship it to your door. i dont need any trades but thanks for asking here is thr trim tag numbers 07b lansing 663817 30312 body trim 980-3 c-2 w2lgr 4c 5vy On Dec-02-12 at 18:35:16 PST, seller added the following information: just had a few more question to answer, yes the heads have studs and guide plates and hardened push rods so they are fully adjustable, i have a new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing in the box. i have the am radio for it, the distributor has been rebuilt.
