Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is Buddy, who I unfortunately do not have the money to restore. He caught on fire in 2011 and has been sitting in the driveway (covered) since. The pictures tell most of the story. The last photo of the Pacer in a Jaguar dealership is from just before I purchased the car. It was one of a handful of pictures taken for an article on Hemmings.com as it was considered their "Find of the Day". I purchased the Pacer from the Jaguar dealership in Portland, OR and had it shipped to me in FL. What a fun car and head turner. I received the comment "I haven't seen on of those in years!" everyday. People really seemed to appreciate it and the old stigmas had run dry. Sadly, the 2011 fire burned everything up to the firewall. Passers by consoled me telling me the engine at it's core should still be good... everything around it just needed to be replaced. I don't know if that's true and just don't have the money to find out. The Jaguar dealership claimed the miles to be actual miles, but in reality it may have turned over once. The interior is in fair condition; again, the pictures tell most of the story there. On the outside the paint has some tiny scratches, small rust spots here and there, a couple inches of quite significant rusting on the passenger side behind the real wheel, one tiny dent behind the back bumper, and a dent that measures app. 6 inches behind the real wheel of the driver's side (of course all of that does not include the major hood and moderate fender damage). The two-tone brown exterior made for a great looking car. In truth it's my favorite of any Pacer I've seen. Here's hoping someone out there can either restore this car or use it for parts to restore another. Any questions just ask. A deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction close. Balance is due within 7 days upon pick-up. If you need more time based on your location or for whatever other reason, just let me know and we can work out those details to better suit you.
