Vehicle Detail
I bought this van in Sept. 2011 for use in our traveling ministry. We had been traveling in buses and motor homes and the fuel cost was a huge challenge. It had 101,00 mile and we have driven it 34,000 miles in a little over a year and it has been one of the most dependable vehicles you could ask for. I am the third owner and the first two kept it garaged and the paint and clear coat is great shape with a good shine and no fading. It was built by Choo Choo Conversions. The previous owner replaced the TV with a new LCD and digital antenna plus added DVD player. Also has VCR and rear stereo. Rear heat and A/C and leather seating. All shades are in good condition and lots of good lighting and beautiful wood grain trim. I have removed the folding sofa/bed in the rear and built a slide in unit to store my sound equipment and luggage and took one captains chair and put in a single bed so one could sleep while the other was driving. The seats just clip in to the brackets and the bolt downs for the sofa are still in place if you want it original. All the seating comes with it including the bed if you want. This makes for a great traveling vehicle. It is very comfortable to go across country or short outings. This van is low mileage at only 13,ooo miles per year. I have several friends that use these Chevy vans for music travel and 400,000 miles is not uncommon. I just received a pic from a friend of a speedometer that turned 300,000 and still running great. Last summer I replaced A/C compressor and dryer and it will chill you down running on low speed. Battery was replaced and brakes on front are new premium ceramic pads and turned rotors. Tires have about 1/3 tread left and were balanced and rotated about 5,000 miles ago. No shimmy or shakes. 75 mph is a smooth glide at 16-17 mpg. Drop back to 65-68 and it will do 18+. This van is in very good condition with normal wear and I would not hesitate to drive any where. It just came in from 1,400 miles this past week end. The only reason it is for sale is we have bought another motor home and now don’t need it. This conversion van cost over 45,000 dollars new and last year they were in the 10K range. I see the average today with this mileage and condition averaging around 7.500. Don’t miss this honey of a deal. I do have it for sale locally so take advantage of the buy it now.
