Offered for your consideration is my 1978 Covette 25th Silver Anniversary Edition in Black Sable and Gold. This car has the L- 82 engine. I originally purchased this car new and it has had the best of care. The car has always been garaged and only has 45,200 miles. It has been respected and babied the entire 34 years as the pictures will show. The only reason it is being offered for sale is that I bought another classic automobile and need the space. This car runs the best and drives beautifully, and it turns heads every where it is driven. When I bought this car from the dealership I had the color scheme changed to add the gold to the bottom. Today the color is Black Sable and Gold in Imron Color and Imron Clear Coat. The headlights were changed out when the car was brand new. The black interior (which is rare, most were oyster or red) is virtually pristine in condition with the carpet still coal black with absolutely NO blemishes. The leather seats are in excellent condition (driver seat shows very minimal wear, passenger seat is like brand new) and I also have a brand new set of factory leather covers to recover the seats if it should ever be needed/wanted. In 2009 the following upgrades were made: 1. New brakes and calipers front and rear. 2. New shock absorbers, front and rear. 3. New universal joints all locations - all drive shafts. 4. New radiator. 5. New water pump. 6. All new belts and hoses including all clamps replaced. 7. New alternator. 8. New power steering pump. 9. New A/C compressor and update to R-134 freon. 10. New heater core. 11. New A/C evaporator. 12. New Heater - A/C control switch in console. 13. New spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. 14. I have brand new leather seat backs and bottoms (over $500 dollars worth), but the original are so good I have not changed them.
