Vehicle Detail

For sale is my Yellow 1979 MGB Convertible Roadster in great condition. It has the optional 5-speed Overdrive, so driving at highway speed is very enjoyable. Car has a little over 117,000 miles and runs like the day it was made. Title is clear. This car has been very well maintained. I purchased this car from San Francisco and had it shipped here so I could get one without the rust issues common here in the midwest. I have kept this car garaged since the day I purchased it (I also have a mint car cover I keep in trunk just in case - although I have never used it as I don't drive in rain or snow - sunny days only). It has a black soft top which I keep stowed under the cream colored Tonneau cover (small tear rear of softtop but still works fine - see photo). Tonneau top serves as a boot cover and the cream looks great with the black interior. Radio is installed but I haven't hooked it up (just doesn't seem right to blare music from a sports car). This is a beautiful example of an MGB and turns heads whenever I drive it. All guages and electrical components (lights, turn signals, etc) work as they should (tach occasionally sluggish but that seems to be common for little British cars). This car gets fantastic gas mileage with the 1800cc engine with O/D. Brand new fuel pump installed this summer. I also have a new set of brakes for the car when needed (no braking issues whatsoever at the moment, so I will include them for future use). Tires are in great shape with plenty of tread life left in them. I installed a new trunk carpet set as well as matching interior carpeting this summer which makes the interior look fantastic (trunk also has spare tire and jack). Paint overall is in great shape with the only issue being a slight spot on left fender with a small paint chip that previous owner said a shopping cart got it (see photo as it is hardly noticeable), a tiny chip in windshield, a small (4") tear in the soft top at the rear and a small hole in the bottom of the drivers seat (see photo as I tried to describe all known flaws). Please ask questions as I have tried to describe everything to the best of my knowledge. I also have the Haynes and Bentley manuals I will include. This car has been an absolute joy to drive as it looks and handles great. This is a great little car that will make the next owner very happy. This car is sold "as-is" and is not under warranty. Cash (in person) or Cashier's check accepted (once cleared and confirmed I will sign over title). $500 immediate Paypal payment required to hold vehicle and remaining balance payable within 7 days. Car can be picked up in person, or I will meet with your shipping company (I do not arrange shipping, but car is located 1/4 mile from Interstate-55 south of Springfield, IL so easy to get to). Please see all photos and feel free to ask any questions you might have about this superb little British Roadster - you won't be disappointed. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
