Up for auction a 1988 Suzuki Samurai JX 4x4 5 speed manual transmission garage kept starts on the spot. This is a rust free vehicle all throughout. Low starting price with NO RESERVE!!! I bought this sami about a year ago and had a lot of fun, but it is now time to pass it to the next owner. I really hate to see it got but need some cash for some travel expenses and Christmas. Engine- Odometer reads 53K miles on it. However, this sami has a new engine, it was rebuilt by the previous owner and has about 5K miles on it. 1.3 liter 4 cylinder all original, it does not smoke and it has no oil or fluid leaks what so ever, runs and drives excellent. Check engine light comes On and Off, first thing that comes to mind is oxygen sensor, but never bothered to replace it. It does have the A/C option with the A/C compressor rotating freely but not connected to the drive belt. Transmission- 5 speed transmission works perfectly fine, shifts to all the gears properly. Clutch also works perfectly fine feels nice and tight and not slipping at all. 4WD- Never had a chance to use the 4WD. However, it shifts smooth to all the gears. I did test the 4WD with locked hubs in a parking lot at low and high speed, and it works great. Body- Body is in excellent condition new paint, and there are no scratches or dents that I could find for a close up pictures, I think pictures speak for themselves, damage back seat as shown in one of the pictures, two front seats not original Suzuki, I believed front seats came off a Toyota vehicle as stated by previous owner if I remember correctly. Take a closer look a one of the picures as windshield is cracked, but still strong and firm. It does have the bikini top, but does not have a full soft top. Missing all the carpet as it was misplaced by previous owner when the body was painted. Interior- Clean interior all the lights work, signal lights, high and normal head lights work properly. Fuel and engine temperature gauges are not working for some reason and did not have the time to fix it. It was my intention to work on it, but never had the time and needed some wiring diagrams. I have been using the odometer to monitor my gas usage. Both gauges read high when the engine is on. I was told by a guy that works with Samurais that most likely there is a common ground wire on this two gauges that is not connected. Title- Clear Texas title on my name. Payment- $ 200 paypal deposit required within 24 hours after auction is over, and full payment in cash within 7 days after sale is over. This sami is for pick up only or you can arrange you shipping method at your own expense. I could also assist in delivering the vehicle to a local transportation company free of charge within 30 miles from Dallas, TX 75243. This is a street legal vehicle. However, I will remove my current plates and will provide a 30 days temporary Texas plates if you are driving it home. But, If you are shipping it or towing it out of state I will leave it as is.
