Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1971 Cadillac Superior Crown Sovereign Hearse-Ambulance combination. This unique car is so much fun to drive! Glides like a dream down the road and over bumps and railroad tracks. Great for Halloween fun and plenty of room in the back for camping. History: In 1971, 1010 Cadillac hearses were made by Superior, with only 202 combos. This particular one was made in the Lima Ohio factory for the Dudley Funeral Home in Virginia. Original price was $14,000-$17,000. Stats: Car is 22 feet long, so make sure you have a place to park! Stock engine is a 472 cubic inch V8 with tons of power to get this 5500 lb car up hills. She takes Premium gas (91-93 octane) only. Back compartment has a sliding glass window between the driver seat and back, two jump seats that were used by EMTs that can fold down, and the casket rollers flip up when needed. Good, Bad & Ugly: The hearse has only 61,169 miles on it. Other than someone's attempt to repaint the car, she is all original. She'll need a lot of TLC down the road, but for a 41 year old car, she's not too bad. Rust is starting to bubble thru in various spots, two holes in the chrome rear bumper, rubber door trim is deteriorated, most "hearse" switches and knobs have been disconnected, and little bit of water leakage in the back section. We have replaced all the belts, a few hoses, the starter, fixed wires, etc. Most everything on the dashboard works, fan/heat is a little iffy. Has air conditioning. Back door is missing the thumb button on the outside, but still opens from the inside. The reason I'm selling it is because I just bought another hearse and I don't have room for two. PLEASE feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all, or if you would like to see more pictures before bidding. I check my email frequently and I'm happy to help you. Payment: Immediate deposit for $500, the rest is due within 7 days of the close. Money Order, Cashiers Check, or Paypal (accepting the Paypal fee for transfer). On Nov-25-12 at 18:07:06 PST, seller added the following information: More info: The black top is not vinyl, it looks like someone use a rough coat of flat black paint. Also, the skull graphics on the hood are easily removable if desired.
