For Sale: One 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider in excellent condition. A Super Christmas Gift!!! 2 owner car that has always been maintained and enjoyed! A classic convertible in it's own right, this car received significant upgrades from it's original owner. Features: Body is solid without rust. Driver's floor pan was replaced many years ago. Rockers are solid, as are the quarters, and spare tire well. Red exterior paint is the second paint job. Is shows some age-appropriate crazing and repaired rock chips on the nose, but as you see is still nice and shiny. Top cloth is unfaded and very good. Rear window is clear. Top is very tight, and does not appear to have spent much time raised. Top will loosen / stretch in sun. Original black seats are very good, and have small repairs in the seat seams. Dash had cracks at windshield base, but they have been repaired New door panels Windshield is excellent without pits or scratches Baby Vitaloni mirrors Carello headlight covers Lap belts Stainless bumpers are in very good condition The 4 cylinder 2.0 liter Engine runs extremely well! Upgrades include high compression pistons, hotter Marelli ignition, chrome headers and throaty exhaust, and dual Weber DCOE 40 carburetors. The engine loves to rev! The 5 speed transmission is in great shape. The second gear synchros have some age-appropriate testiness when cold, but when warmed a 3 to 2 downshift is easily accomplished. One recent quirk is that the turn signal is engaging on turns, and one must disengage it after the turn. This should be an easy repair, though one I chose not to pursue. I have really enjoyed this Alfa. She is a fantastic driver, and I kind of hate to see her go. Thanks for your interest. Please email with any questions.
