Vehicle Detail
- 1973 Mach I Mustang - Project Car - Are you looking for a winter project? Look no further...this is a project that you can actually finish this winter and be driving it in the spring. The car came from the factory as a "Blue Glow" Mach I "Q" code 4 speed car. It is a very clean car, please look the pics over carefully. The spot welds and areas where welded panels overlap all look fantastic. The car needs the body work finished, paint and re-assembly. There is no rust repair or panel replacement needed. I wired up the engine so you can see it run (link below). It currently has an automatic trans in it which does function in the driveway, however I obviously have not "driven" the car. The car comes with a lot of parts. Some parts are new, many vintage parts have already been blasted and e-coated. Please review the pictures, it looks like a couple of cars donated their goods to this cause. There are multiples of many pieces, so you can choose the best of what you want, and sell the rest when you're done. I tried to group the parts and walk around each grouping so you can get a good sense of what is included. Do to limited photo count permitted in the auction listing, I made collages of each grouping. If there are any pics that you would like me to email you, please just let me know. There are multiple dash pads, lower dash assemblies, gauge clusters, HVAC assemblies, etc etc. Also, there are muliple trap doors and it looks like all the fold down interior plastic is there. There are of course parts missing for re-assembly, but honestly there is no way I could get a clear comprehension of what exactly would still be needed. I have observed however the following pieces definitely were missing; front calipers, gas tank, door skins, front bumper, one door handle. The door tag is included in the photos, but here it is decoded: Body 63R: SportsRoof Mach I Color 3K: Blue Glow (metalic) Trim GW: White Mach I w/ black appointments Trans 5: Manual 4 speed Axle 9: 3.25 to 1 As this is an antique car it is advised to come look the car over in person. It is sold as is / where is. I have only owned the car a short time, but have done my best to provide all known info about the car. I will assist with having the car loaded for transport, but all shipping details including contracting and associated expenses are the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking, please ask any / all questions prior to bidding. Once you bid you are obligated to buy, so no flakes please. A $500 non refundable PayPal payment is due within 48hrs, or the vehicle will be re-listed. Please only bid if you intend to complete the deal. Balance of payment via bank (wire) transfer or bank cashiers check within 7 days. I will also accept PayPal for final payment if buyer splits the 3% transaction fee with me (share the pain plan... ;-). Just for clarity, if you do not pay for the car within 7 days it will be re-listed. Here is the youtube link to see/hear the engine run. She sounds very nice and no smoke: http://youtu.be/gQBws_foleY
