Presented here is one stunning '55 custom Ford pick-up. The professional grade build was done to a high caliber, both cosmetically and mechanically.
The burgundy exterior finish is in magnificent condition. Obviously this truck hasn't travelled many dirt roads since the build, probably zero. The shine is deep and lustrous and the light flames on the fiberglass hood were applied expertly. The balance of the body is steel and is in likewise mint condition. The fiberglass running boards have a protective decorative step plate affixed so if you remember to use it, you can keep the boards in show condition. The truck is equipped with windshield wipers but they have never been wired in and hooked up, proving this has been a sunny day only ride. Same reason, I suppose ,that it isn't equipped with a heater. Someone spent a lot of time, talent and money accessorizing the pick-up bed with beautiful wood inserts. If this has carried any cargo, they must have been pillows. A very cool rear window slit and steel louvered tailgate completes the custom rear view design nicely.
Inside the burgundy theme continues to be played out. The comfortable bench seat can seat three, no problem. The wood accented dash and steering wheel (Which tilts) helps to accentuate the interior's clean styling. You will find modern gauges showing the MPH/Oil Pressure/Water Temp/Volts & Fuel.
Mechanically the truck is as well put together as the cosmetics. The 350 ci V8 engine has plenty power and it is all very smoothly accessed by a tried and true Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The engine sounds, thanks to a dual exhaust set up running through Flowmaster Mufflers, harmonic. The '55 is equipped with disc brakes up front, drum brakes rear and power steering to make piloting the Ford a modern feeling experience. BF Goodrich radials wrap around those very cool 15" Cragar chrome wheels. The undercarriage images further prove this ride is quality, through and through and ready for touring fun.
This is a smoke-free automobile. There is no damage evident on this vehicle. This is a garage kept vehicle. The engine on this vehicle is running properly. This vehicle has no known defects.
