Vehicle Detail

This is a totally original rust-free car that I have owned since 1996. I purchased this car from my neighbor in Boca Raton Florida in December of 1996. I had it transported in an enclosed carrier three years ago to our summer home in Maine. Please keep in mind that is is not a restored car. The paint, seats, carpets, interior panels, wood dash are all original and how they left the factory in June 1976. I did replace the redline tires and the convertible top three years ago in Florida before having it shipped to Maine. The paint looks like the day it was delivered although there are a few tiny nicks here and there. This car has NEVER been painted or ever in an accident. I replaced the original redline tires when the car had approximately 34,000 miles on it because they were starting to dry rot. The tread looked brand new and I do have the original tires that will be included with the car. I also replaced the original British Leyland radio with a newer CD player but I have the original radio shown in the trunk photo that was wrapped and sealed in plastic. The mileage is documented and I have EVERY single piece of literature when the car was sold new. The Bill Of Sale which is dated August 16, 1976 from Whitehaven Toyota/Triumph in Germantown Tennessee. Also included is the original window sticker which show a MSRP of $6397.50 and the factory options of Michelin Redline tires and a Tonneau Cover. The original driver's handbook and the British Leyland Passport To Service folder as well. I have two sets of original keys and two sets of spares. The service records date back to the delivery date and the most current one is from this summer. I replaced the seat belts because the passenger seat belt would not retract. My wife would not ride in the car without a working seat belt. These were purchased from Moss Motors and I did keep the original belts that were removed. Over the past sixteen years I have replaced the clutch (2009) and all of the brake & clutch hydraulics as well. It has also had a new exhaust system and complete brake job in the past five years. The oil is changed every 3000 miles w/Castrol GTX 20 w/50 and I did have a "spin on" oil filter adapter installed several years ago. I do have the original metal canister for the filter that goes with the car. All of the service records will be included. Included is the original jack, lug wrench, and jack handle. The spare tire is a newer Reline with loads of tread. The original tonneau and boot for the convertible top are stowed in the trunk as well as a custom car cover. This car runs and drives like a brand new car. I would not hesitate to jump in and drive it to Florida! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. This is the last year of production for the TR6 and it's a June production car which is the second to last month of production. Remember, anyone can buy a restored car but it's only original one time. I do have some shipping quotes available from a local carrier that does open transport and from Exotic Car Transport that only does enclosed transport.
