Being sold as part car but can be made road worthy.... Up for bid is a 1991 Geo Metro 2Dr. Convertible with 116,601 miles on it as noted on speedo, and sports a 1.0L 993CC 3 Cylinder Suzuki engine which get great gas mileage and are known to go over 200K. This one Could go another 100K+ miles with timely maintenance .- This is being sold as a parts car but it could be recommission on the road with some TLC. When the car was on the road there were no issues with the transmission so I would expect it to be fine. This car was on the road some 9 years back and one day on a trip to NYC it was broken into thru the convertible top (slashed open) and the car radio was stolen. Anyway its been parked outside since with a weather proof car cover untill last year when I then parked it in my garage. We occationally crank the engine to warm it up (yes it still turns on). Dash board electronics all work but, I would say it can not be driven in its present condition since it needs several things to be road worthy: a) new starter since the current one occationally freezes up when attempting to turn it on but after several ignition key turns it turns over and starts fine. b) new plug wires c) steering front end alignment d) installation of converible top (I have a new top but has not been installed), e) tires d) inspection and Registation f) needs radio g) paint job Currently the body doesn't have rust but needs a paint job some sanding of th body has been performed on the car and the car logos have been removed in preperation for body work to be done for a future paint Job. These cars get great gas mileage at 35MPG+ depending on how you drive. These cars are tons of fun with the top down! I was going to store it this winter but decided I need room for other projects so will make a great car for the next owner. Sold as IS, no warranties expressed or implied.
